About
"Well behaved women seldom make history." - Laurel Thatcher Ulrich
This is the game where good girls get better by being bad!
In the 1920s, young women had a chance to change society--by misbehaving. Gather a gang of girls. Explore. Battle petty townsfolk with quick, naughty games: Fib, Flirt, Taunt... Win boyfriends and other useful prizes. Expose the town's depraved secret before it entraps your girls.
Explore four beautiful game boards, dozens of character cards, and thousands of dialog cards (worn and aged from decades of neglect) which comprise the zany world of an American small town in the 1920s.
Encounter nearly a hundred individual personalities. These denizens form the core culture of intolerance and repression your girls can overcome with wit, charm, and brazenness.
Conflict using a variety of naughty mini-games: Taunt, Flirt, Fib and others to stand up against bullies, cozy up to boyfriends, and evade oppressive expectations.
Conquer increasingly more powerful faculty and townsfolk as the story develops from the curious, to the weird, to the absurd, finally to collapse down a frozen crevasse of all too real inhumanity. Only the victorious will emerge, smirks on their faces, heels on the throats of the wicked, and their futures assured of freedom.
Acquire dozens of prizes to swing games in your favor and help others along your journey. Gain experience and level up the talents of your gang members. Win boyfriends willing to sacrifice themselves for affection.
Wind your way through an epic of literary satire in an fantastical world where nothing is real but all is true, during a mythic time of social upheaval. Help the young women trapped in this world transform it for the betterment of all -- by misbehaving.

Fun and novel presentation, with a UI that is modeled off of early 20th century parlor games. Fantastic idea to not only feature female protagonists but to take the usually-maligned high school girl character and make it the whole and sole focus of the game. There's something good there, even if it still slips into easy tropes occasionally. Primarily it takes the form of a narrative story game with simple mini-games utilizing poker suits that are associated with your girls' stats. Each of the mini-games is thoughtfully made but not all are fun for long or particularly deep. The flirt mini-game felt especially uneven, while gambit, expose, and fib (which is just poker) all worked quite well. Unfortunately, the game is a pain to play - slow scrolling, no zoom on maps, rough UI - and the writing can't seem to decide what tone it wants to strike. I would have appreciated either more levity or more bite, rather than the strange half-stance the game adopts. Still, there's a lot of game here for this simple package - well over 5 hours - so if you enjoy the aesthetic and find it appealing it's worth a shot.
Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble! is a quirky, card-based adventure game that blends strategy, humor, and 1920s high school mischief. Developed by Mousechief, the game puts you in control of a group of rebellious girls at an all-girls school, where you manipulate the social scene to gain power, influence, and cause playful chaos. The gameplay revolves around card battles where each card represents a different girl, each with unique traits and abilities. The objective is to outwit classmates, teachers, and the principal through a series of strategic moves, often using gossip, sabotage, and charm. It’s a game of social manipulation as much as it is about card strategy. The visuals are charmingly vintage, with hand-drawn characters and a jazzy, prohibition-era soundtrack that perfectly complements the retro setting. The writing is snappy, filled with clever humor, witty dialogue, and subtle social commentary, adding a layer of fun to the lighthearted premise. While the core gameplay can get repetitive, the game's replayability is bolstered by the variety of character interactions and strategic choices. Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble! is an offbeat, fun game for players who enjoy humor, nostalgia, and strategic card games, though it may not appeal to everyone. (AI FTW... Still a fun game & Linux friendly too)
What the actual ♥♥♥♥. I played this game on/off since I was a teen (am 23 now) and finally finished it yesterday. I actually stayed up until 2 AM trying to get the best ending for these girls. I won the extremely difficult, three round roast battle with the mayor, I got the detective to come with them (extremely difficult, three combo flirting) in the end, and despite beating the odds, this game still managed to ruin my day. Spoilers in the rest of the review below. I spent 18 hours cultivating my team's skills/relationships and in the end they are expelled from school and one of them is "almost" raped and taken to the hospital so she leaves the team permanently. One of my girls shot the rapist in the head, which wasn't my first choice (I chose to use the crowbar) but apparently the rapist can somehow take that from her and kill our whole team?? So it's mandatory to kill someone in this game. Then we find out about the marriage law, where on the night before a wedding, the mayor is allowed to sleep with the bride to be (for the husband's profit)?? like WHO came up with this and WHY did they have me set up two of my HIGH SCHOOL friends to get married and therefore sleep with the mayor? I feel like an accessory to many terrible crimes after playing this game. Then after I finished the game, in the end credits, I find out what happened to my cherished team (excluding the one that was assaulted): One of them is a serial killer of child stars. One of them became famous in theaters and then died of a drug overdose. And my main girl ran a factory that produced tins with botulinum toxin. You can't make this ♥♥♥♥ up. I would have never played this game if I knew the ending was this heinous, rushed, disgusting, unsatisfying, etc. I wasted 18 HOURS of my life on this game. I hope this review deters anyone else from wasting their time and money on this game like I did.
Dangerous High School Girls In Trouble is a 1920's themed boardgame/minigame effort where you control a gang of schoolgirls in the 1920s. While released last decade, the game has aged very badly, and wouldn't have met the minimum standards for 2008, let alone today. Resolution is fixed and can't be changed. The game appears ugly because of this. The minigames aren't very inspiring or interesting, either. The game just hits too far off the mark, and along with the technical deficiencies, just isn't enough for me to recommend to anyone.
Not really a fan of the minigame design gatekeeping content. It's alright for the first few encounters but after awhile, it degrades the experience into a repetitive slog. If it was made optional or skippable, I would have definitely enjoyed it way more.
5/10
Idk what I was thinking when I bought this... Uninteresting story line and mini-games are boring.
It's hangman, memorizing some taunts, tic-tac-toe, and a bad version of poker rolled into one game. I read some other reviews that made me realize this game is not only boring but also terrible story wise.
It's a somewhat interesting digital board game taking place in the 20s where a group of rebel girls is trying to solve a mystery. Has a good plot that gets a lot more complicated and dense that what it seems at first, and it has a kind of unique charm. It's definitely engaging. My main issue with the game is the repetitive mini-games. You'll be constantly playing and replaying the same 4 minigames, which after a while turn a bit tedious. But it's fun. I wouldn't pay full price for it, though.
I honestly have no clue where I got this game I'm just going through my entire steam library and I am completely confused as to what this game exactly is (I think I got it on a free weekend in 2017?????) anyways it didn't hold my attention
