Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best RU #84, worst CN #96 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.43/day in the week to Sep 9 → 8.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Story: They simply dropped the ball at the end. There were many fun segments in this game and I expected an interesting twist, especially because they were referencing the first game so much. But the end was a slap in the face. A "♥♥♥♥ you!" to the fans of the first and second game. And because of the ending, it all felt like a huge waist of time. And worse, it made me question if I was not wasting my time in the first few games too. Gameplay: There were HUGE problems with the input registration and input mapping on PC, which made some minigames basically impossible. Here is the breakdown: Lie Bullets: Great, an improvement over the old "collect argument and fire it back" system. Rebuttal Showdown: Without cut limitations, it is now much more fun! Hangman's Gambit Ver. 3.0: Not as bad as DR2, but not as good as DR1, and I think the translation is sometimes wacky (looking at you, "implanted"). Argument Armament: Due to the inconsistent input reaction and the fact that it shows Xbox controller buttons, it was at some points borderline impossible. Debate Scrum: It's very good. I have nothing to object. Mind Mine: Useless but harmless. Psyche Taxi: I liked it, but I could see this one being a bit annoying for some. Mass Panic Debate: It's just annoying.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

While a bit longer than previous entries, this entry is still rather good overall. There are still complaints to be sure, but I think this game had a intriguing and satisfying conclusion. However, if you liked Danganronpa 1 and 2 and aren't good at compartmentalization of storylines/games, then this may "ruin" the other games in the series. However, like the first game's ending, it's left rather open-ended so it's rather easy to have two views of the Danganronpa series if you are able to do that, one where
this game exists and one where it doesn't (alternatively, one way of viewing the ending doesn't require this, but I think that's a less satisfying perspective to me)
(rather vague spoiler, no specifics here). As such, this game can evoke a varying emotions, but for me I found this one still rather inspiring (although not as much as the first one) and great. Also, it requires a fair amount of media literacy to be able to understand the ending and parse it correctly, so beware that you are very likely to hate the ending otherwise (although there are valid complaints/arguments beyond this, many hating the ending just don't truly understand it, in my opinion). For reference, I'd personally rate this like a 90/100 compared to the 83/100 of Danganronpa 2 and 91/100 of Danganronpa 1.

I am really freaking out why this game has no autosave function. And it also takes ages to load the saving slots or skip the seen chats. It is pure stress, I almost deleted this game because it caused more stress than fun -_-
only danganronpa game to make me cry
