This is a really nice RPG with guns. It uses a mastery system for each of the weapon archetypes you use that is similar to the one in Borderlands or SAO: Fatal Bullet. You can also unlock various active skills for different weapons. There is a great deal of customization for your mech, the paintjob, the parts displayed can be different from the parts equipped, weapon placement can be customized as well as your pilot's appearance. The co-op works well.

友人とプレイする目的で購入しました。 この前作も知らなければ、あまりこういうゲームもしないのですが、面白いとはあんまり思えなかったです。 前作を知っていればある程度はストーリーがわかるのかもしれませんが、設定上知らないキャラがどんどん出てきたり、自分の知らない記憶が前提で進んでいる感触があり、プレイヤー置いてけぼりのストーリー進行は全く感情移入できませんでした。 よくわからない鉱石堀りや、カードゲームのコンテンツもあるみたいですが、実装されてる意味がよくわかりません。 操作感はそこまで悪いとは思いませんでしたが、ダッシュ後の槓性が効きすぎていてぴったり止まれないのは少しストレスでした。 脳死でやるゲームとしてはいいと思いますよ。雑談しながら一緒にマルチができる人がいれば。
Truly, truly awful.
Got this game for a fiver, it was a steal! If you miss Anthem, with it's exosuit characters + flying + anime style hack & slash + big boss fights you will love DXMTS. The open world is not the prettiest but it does the job, the combat is fun and arcadey, the looting is rewarding and the build possibilities are near endless. There's seamless coop, customization, transmog and basically everything you need for a fun open world rpg. It doesn't worth 70 euros (no game does imo), and the mixed reviews are probably due to the expectations of it's predecessor, but if you don't look at it as a sequel, rather a spinoff (or you don't care at all), it's a very decent and fun game. It's also very well optimized and runs great on my Legion Go S. I highly recommend it on a sale!
The needless RNG on equipment isn't fun. The writing is lackluster. I was really hoping for the Axiom to be something other than space nazis. The story and general writing is just not interesting. The base they had for the story was semi-interesting. I was hoping to be able to see both sides and pick one eventually. Doesn't sound like it from other reviews, nor how they've been setting the story. Gameplay is alright, it's responsive, but the enemies do this super long telegraphing that makes it harder to dodge and more boring honestly. I seriously hope this becomes less prevalent in games later. Think about that one Elden Ring meme, but no longer applied to bosses and instead 70% of the enemies movesets. This would have to be on a very steep sale for me to think about buying it. I would say 80% and above would be ideal. The designs for the armors are good though. I do actually like them. Cool concepts and all, but it falls very falls flat on its face.
Its like Armored Core without the speed, its a looter shooter without the loot, its a machine translation of a first story draft. Nothing from the first game was expanded on,

ok so, dont get me wrong. This game is not perfect, it has a lot of issues I could point out all day. However, perfection in the scheme of things in this case isnt always entirely needed. I had a lot of fun... maybe too much. Its not for everyone and I know it may even be a bit too clunky to get into, but I promise if you just keep an open mind and really just goof around with it... I promise you wont be let down. its a sold 7.5/10 for me realistically, but for my biased fun and goofing... its a 8/10 for sure. if you are fan of mech suits, robots, dark scifi and all that jaz, its a good time.
I'm having a blast playing this game, it is just plain and simple fun. Initially it was way overpriced so understand those that were disappointed and gave it a negative review but on sale this is worth a playthrough especially with friends.
