Another nice horror game from Vidas. I didn't appreciate this one as much as the others I played, because it was really too short (like, under one hour to see all endings and secrets), but it was a fascinating experience nonetheless. All Vidas games are "crazy" in some way, but this one is the most surreal and mysterious in my opinion. The atmosphere is incredibly eerie and intimidating, you feel completely helpless and confused from the beginning to the end, but once you reach your goal (very soon unfortunately), you understand everything, and you fully appreciate all the art and the poetry hidden behind all that merciless scares! Because yes, Vidas is famous for his passion for jumpscares, and this game makes no exception. The scares are somewhat milder than the usual, but they do their job, trust me. Even if the game is short (but also cheap!), I fully recommend it, because the overall design is very nice, and above all unique, you won't find anything similar in any other horror game. Short atmospheric surreal horror game. Liked the artstyle.

Vidas Games never disappoint with the scares, let's just get that out of the way right now. If you are after a short horror experience with multiple levels of lore & story telling then this is your game. SOUND: As always, the killer soundtrack from Vidas Games is still very present. The guitar tracks are awesome & the self aware style makes it apparent that you are playing one of their horror games. Ambient sounds are also taken very seriously with well timed jumps that don't feel tacky. They are methodical & work well within the context of the game. VISUALS: I am a huge fan of symbolism & abstract imagery & this game has a really well designed play area. The trees are an off colour blue, the sky is black as is the water. The body horror imagery is also quite unnerving (NO SPOILERS) but holy hell, this one part freaked me out good. The whole package is put together really nicely & compliment each other well. DESIGN: The creatures & the layout of the map feel fresh & original. I don't actually remember seeing anything quite like this in any other game. The mechanics of navigation are well thought out & add an extra layer of mystery to this story. STORY: Without giving too much away, the story requires multiple playthroughs as there are different endings & alternative story elements to explore such as "the other side of the story". PRICE: I've said this many times before about various indie games, but the value here is great. UK 2.09 EURO 2.39 $2.99 you can't complain about prices like this. This is worth every penny. For the level of entertainment that you get, you just can't beat it. This game just like many others are worth so much more. It's games like this & indie developers that give me hope for the future of games & experiences. 10/10. Don't hesitate to buy!

This game is the definition of helplessness. From the start, you are thrown into an eerily empty world filled with nothing but trees and impossible architecture. No one to hold your hand, just an ominous message subtly hinting you towards your goal. The game is oddly calming yet incredibly tense at the same time, which made it difficult for me to put a pin in any feeling in particular, making the experience much more frightening. The fear of the unknown is real in this game. From a technical standpoint, the game runs smooth as butter. There's a creepy glow and shine on the textures, and the graphics are really crisp. The overall gameplay loop is simplistic enough to understand rather quickly, but the game turns things around and takes the bit of familiarity you gain with your surroundings and completely throws it away, rendering you almost petrified to move into the dark. The sound design is superb, with low ambient drones and rumbles filling the environment, leading to scraping, horrifying sounds as you encounter enemies. And the game doesn't end right when you complete your task. There are other paths to take when replaying, giving the game a lot more replay value. Overall, I can't recommend this game enough to those who want to exist in a creepy liminal space for about an hour.

Игра позиционируется как сюрреалистичный хоррор. При этом она имеет небольшую историю о сотворении данного мирка. На мой вкус получилось слабовато - возможно дело в маленькой длительности и отсутствии деталей, которые бы раскрывали идею и придавали красок, делая это путешествие чем-то запоминающимся. У нас в наличии лишь очень небольшой мирок, ограниченный со всех сторон фактически забором из бревен. На этой небольшой карте есть 4 условных строения по сюжету. Синяя дорожка на скринах и видео - отображение сюжетного пути. За наигранные 45 минут я прошел весь доступный контент - сначала базовая "история", потом Vermilion path, который является своеобразным дополнением к основной истории. Он добавляет красную дорожку дополнительного "задания" с новой точкой на той же карте и парой крохотных дополнительных сюжетных карт. Итого имеем очень слабенькую реализацию имевшейся у разработчика идеи. Полного ценника игра точно не стоит.
