I would like to encourage everyone who uses this, to block all outgoing traffic to 205.144.171.12 (d3dgear.com) in the M$ Defender Firefall. Upon every application crash, D3DGear automatically sends a zip file with a quite comprehensive analysis and also sensitive information about your complete system and every piece of software, that was or is being executed while D3DGear ran - including all the command line calls to these programs. Just one of hundreds of examples: [...][...] // Command line = "C:\Program Files\Microsoft VS Code\Code.exe" "C:\Users\**********\*********\*******\******\*****.txt" This also might contain URLs, hashes or passwords, etc. In addition, the complete output of DxDiag is sent. The least they could have done is to ask for consent, giving people a chance to abort the transmission or at least to review all of the contents. Instead, the zip file with all of the above is sent via plain HTTP, without any encryption, before the server then redirects it to a (weak) TLS path, using their Let's Encrypt cert. I only discovered this by accident, after executing D3DGear on a non-gaming system and a sudden network spike. And yes, the sent information indeed contained some credentials and other comparable things. No like from me anymore.
this ♥♥♥♥ doesnt work anymore idk why and since when.
Action! stopped working,so I fired this up and so far it is working.
Better than action
OBS is free
Best Screen Recorder, very smooth recording. And I never got any issue.
