The game Cyberdunk Anime Edition appears to be a shooter, but make no mistake: this game is a resource management game. You must make every single bullet you scavenge count in your quest to kill the cyber samurai, as a single miss (this is not an exaggeration) can easily set you back 30-40 minutes of mindless grinding in the level. Ignoring the awful gameplay, the cutscenes and narrator lie to you repeatedly, omit important information and the music is way too loud. There is no saving system and I didn't even get the final achievement for beating this game's final level (a testament to the indomitable human spirit.) That being said, the background is quite nice, even if I was only seeing it while deeply regretting spending $5.00 on this game. So, do I recommend this game? Let me put it this way: I would rather break all my fingers and toes then perform open heart surgery on my puppy than recommend or play this game again.

I'll be short and straight to the point. I do not recommend Cyberdunk Anime Edition. The story is weak(if you even consider it a "story", the music is alright but gets tiresome, and the gameplay is mundane and repetitive. I was gifted this copy from Smirkworks and was compensated for this review. I went into this game knowing that there would be anime girls with anime titties and I was not disappointed with that, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything else was a nightmare. Cyberdunk's story is weak. You get thrown into the world of Cyberdunk with the mission to eliminate enemies. There is no voice acting to bring this terrible story to life, instead you get scrolling text that you might miss if you blink because it goes by quickly. This goes for every mission. Hell, the most excitement I had with the story was that Mission 3 not only tasked me with killing 100 enemies, but also gave me the chance to find a "special" weapon. I searched everywhere on the map and found no weapon. Imagine how happy I was. The story just isn't engaging or fun. I enjoyed hearing the music of this game especially for the first time. I think the music fit the setting of the game. I do have a couple bad things to say about it though. The missions are so long that you're stuck hearing the same song on loop until the mission is complete. There are a couple songs like the one in the second mission that loops at weird intervals making it sound like the song had glitched out but then suddenly it starts playing from the beginning again. Last isn't so much a music issue but more of an issue with the game itself, whenever I finished a mission I would be put into the next mission but there would be no audio at all until I relaunch the game. And no matter what after relaunching the volume settings in the game reset and the menu music is hella loud. The gameplay on the other hand is terrible and that's putting it nicely. There are constant frame drops and every mission's goal is to kill a set number of enemies who rarely spawn, and if they do you might not even have enough ammo in your gun to kill them. Missions can take up to 30 minutes to complete depending if you can get enough enemies to spawn, and if you run out of ammo you have to resort to melee combat. The gunplay is already bad enough because you have to make sure you don't miss any shots. The controls of the game state that there is a "lock on" feature but it doesn't work. But really it feels like this whole game just doesn't work. Even after I completed the final mission I did not unlock the achievement, leaving it the only one I have left to unlock and I am never playing the mission ever again. Overall Cyberdunk Anime Edition was a wild ride. It seems like for every pro I find more cons. I went into the game hoping to enjoy it but there just isn't much to like. The main character models are nice and the music is cool, but the frame drops, bad story, ammo shortage, terrible spawns, and huge maps just don't make me want to see this game ever again. I have to rate Cyberdunk Anime Edition a 2 out of 5, but only because of the lovely ladies, otherwise I'd rate it a 1.
