About
Welcome to CYBER92 DATAWAR, a fast-paced, Retro-Realistic Cyberpunk Shooter where perception is your greatest weapon. This is a distorted digital nightmare where reality fractures, glitches, and collapses in real time. Shift between experimental 2nd-person and 3rd-person perspectives, and fight through a world where your vision is no longer reliable, and survival depends on how you interpret the chaos.
This is not a traditional shooter. Experience a rare second-person system fused with third-person combat, where awareness, positioning, and perception are constantly manipulated. What you see cannot be trusted, and what you don’t see may already be hunting you.
Engage in brutal, high-pressure combat where time-space distortion is your only advantage. Bend the flow of reality to dodge incoming fire, chain precise shots, and execute devastating close-quarters melee attacks. Enemies emerge without warning, forcing instant reactions in a battlefield that never stabilizes.
Reality is corrupted, but you can reconfigure it. Cycle through 7 radically different vision modes to survive the visual noise and expose hidden threats. Shift between stark black-and-white clarity, aggressive green night vision, surreal purple thermal distortions, and much more. Each mode reshapes the fight and your understanding of the world.
When precision fails, unleash destruction. Commandeer fully drivable tanks and tear through enemy lines in explosive, physics-driven combat. Environments collapse, systems fail, and control becomes an illusion in a battlefield built to break.
Beneath the collapsing system lies a fractured meta-narrative. As the main character reaches total system failure, the developer breaches their own creation using a physical floppy disk, rewriting the code, restoring life, and triggering a surreal connection between creator and creation. Reality no longer exists only inside the game.

The developer is so narcissistic, that he bans negative and critical feedback in discussions AND pins positive ones to the top of the list. Which is not a crime of course, and I would probably just find it hilarious if the game wasnt so problematic. First things first: VISUALS ARE AWFUL to the point that they literally hurt my eyes, I cannot play this for more than 10 mins. Which is definitely not everyones problem, but it is a problem. Not to mention, it makes enemies and surroundings barelly visible in more than 10 meters. And its easily fixable, since its all just post-effects and filters, so they could easily be made optional. Enemy / friendly ai is barely existent. Bots just run around and attack each other, and occasionally run towards a lit red barrel or granade to blow themselves up. Your squad members also really like to get into your line of fire. Mouse smoothing is way too high for some reason, which makes precision aiming a chore. People are saying that the game has certain potential, and I completely agree with that. Most of the games issues are not game breaking and can be fixed. That is, if developer would decide to listen to feedback, not ban it. Instead he chose to be arrogant about it, so I wouldnt expect any positive changes any time soon. P.S. Also, game most likely has AI generated content (intro for the first mission for example). The dev vaguely admitted it in discussions, but before that he denied using AI in his instagram. P.P.S. Also
A First-of-its-Kind PERSPECTIVE (Second-Person Shooter) This is not a traditional shooter. Experience a rare second-person system fused with third-person combat, where awareness, positioning, and perception are constantly manipulated. What you see cannot be trusted, and what you don’t see may already be hunting you.
This is a lie. Gameplay-wise, the game is pure 3rd person shooter, no 2nd person mechanics included
Pretty sure ai is used pretty heavily here, which I don't really mess with. Plus there's not much structure, story, or anything. Just feels like a demo or wtv. Wouldn't really reccomend
fantastic concept, but many quality of life changes NEED to happen. the cut scene is cool the first time you see it but it is unskippeble and frankly after the 4th time i have to sit through a 2 minute cut scene im sick of it
Interesting Idea, I would suggest people give it a try. Some stuff that need to be added: -Volume settings; -Remove distortion in the menus; -Accessibility settings (head bobbing, screen shake, etc...) Despite that, I really dig the aesthetic of the game. A roguelike mode/surivval mode would be nice too.
I do not have much playtime but I am fairly confident in saying this game is extremely rough for what it is. I think it has potential to be interesting and a fun arcade style objective chaser but honestly as it is right now it just needs more time to iron out the core gameplay.
Really neat game! Awesome first cutscene and really cool graphics. The effects, and music are super freaking stylish. I can tell you put a lot of effort into it! And the controls are my favorite part.
Ok, let's give this game a fair shake. The concept was intriguing, but I saw that the reviews were mixed. I saw a lot of complaints about the game using Generative AI. I saw that the trailer did indeed use Generative AI but the gameplay looked decent, So I decided to set that aside and give the game a shot. Here's some issues I've had with the game: 1.) No audio options to adjust sound. Not a huge issue as I can adjust the audio via the windows volume mixer. 2.) No Graphics settings to adjust for better optimize the game. (You only have a resolution setting, windowed or full-screen setting, and anti-aliasing setting. nothing else.) 3.) UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES where the cutscenes are obviously made from Generative AI and don't really add anything to the story other than to experience something equivalent to an acid trip. I don't care about the cutscenes being made using Generative AI since this is a solo-developer. I just don't like being forced to sit through a near 5 minute long cutscene that (for lack of better words) feels like it's just jingling keys in my face. If you can get over these three things, the gameplay is alright. This isn't an "early access game" but it definitely feels like one as it needs some quality of life additions/changes. I'll be returning this game for now, but will be keeping an eye on it to see if the developer adds these features into the game. It's very promising. EDIT: I forgot to include the inability to change or customize Key Bindings when listing Issues I've experienced with this game. Unfortunately (at the time of this review) there is no way to change key bindings in the game for more comfortable button input.
Well, I've thought that the game would be way much better than it is. Let's begin with the plot: Completely weird scenario and visuals. You olay as a kind of a virtual mercenary that cleanses trojan-corrrupted servers, Okay, maybe it is interesting, but still the visuals make my eyes sore. I suppose that this setting was made under the influence of some kind of "funny pills or dust". The music is quite good though. The only feature that holds this game up. To sum up, it felt like a complete waste of money. I was expexting something much more interesting and a little bit FPS-like gameplay. Sorry guys, but thumbs down for this game.
Sehr gut !
If the dev make the cutscenes skipable, i'll change for a positive review
