Cutthroat Gunboat

So far love the gameplay, graphics, and controls of the game. I just want to ask the devs if they plan on expanding the game via updates or DLC or if this game is the complete version and won't be changed at all?

Cutthroat Gunboat is a boat battling game. You and your opponent (can be up to 4 total) choose a map, a ship (each ship has their own stat), and battle off on very unique levels. One level was a volcano map where the volcano shoots lava. This makes the gameplay so much more fun because there's more you have to focus on to become victorious. In terms of graphics, my oh my, the design is beautiful, the colors for each map flow so well together and it was amazing to play in. The controls were very easy to get used to. This made the game much more competitive early on. In game, you have item blocks that randomly appears on the map. These blocks affect the gameplay. Some items repairs your ship, while others give you speed boost. There also damage dealing items. Overall we give this game a recommend, its a great game to pick up and play with a friend (or whoever), and can give you interesting gameplay for hours. Go Set Sail!!!! The trailer didnt seem like much to me but it draw my attention anyways so i thought i'd try it. Best game i've played with friends for a while. They really liked it and they are quite picky. Dev looks like a cool guy too. There's going to be more free content as he claimed. TL;DR: A must buy for local mulitplayer in my opinion.

Enjoyable, however it feels highly imbalnced in terms of the boats. Cuttthroat Gunboat is a local multiplayer game in which you take control of naval ship, each ship has their own health, and weapon (which affects damage). During the battle you will manuevour your way around trying to get your broadside weapons landing on opponents. You can find pickups along the way such as health, shield, seamines, flamethrower and speed to help you get the upperhand. The game is fun, however one of the ships has an extremely long range, that does tons of damage, it's projectile also bounces off walls, displaces the opponents ships and feels like it has no downsides. This boat was houserulled not to be used due to how overpowered it was. I wish there was more gamemodes, including one that allowed respawning to keep the action flowing and a few more varied maps with some unique features to them. As the game currently is, I wouldn't recommend nor not recommend the game. It is polished, however balance hampers the fun.

A good bit of 4 player fun. Controls are challanging at first but represent the style of sailing broadside navel combat well. Far better than any other low complexity sailing game. Ship balance is good but not great, ghost ship has a massive advantage when use well. 400% worth the price tag if you are the kind of person that runs 4 player local play.

It's a fantastic game for a bit of quick or drawn out couch coop. The one downside I found were the controls the devs have aimed for realism of the ship sails. However this slightly ruined the family fun as I had to spend 30 minutes explaining to my 5 year old daughter why her ship kept crashing into walls and how ships worked because she is used to pressing a direction or holding button to go and releasing it to stop.
