내 생전 쥐를 무서워 할 줄은 몰랐다에요....
This one's short, but pretty creepy. I like it.
Cursed Digicam is a psychological horror title developed and published by Chilla’s Art, the Japanese independent studio known for building unsettling horror experiences around realism, emotional storytelling, and slow-burning tension. Over the years, the developer has established a recognizable identity by transforming everyday locations into spaces filled with dread, and Cursed Digicam continues that philosophy while introducing a supernatural investigation mechanic centered around a mysterious camera. The result is a horror experience that focuses less on overwhelming players with constant danger and more on creating discomfort through atmosphere, grief, and emotional vulnerability. The story follows a grieving father struggling to accept the death of his young daughter. Unable to move on from tragedy, he encounters an unusual online service promising a supernatural solution. According to strange rumors, a special digital camera can reveal spirits hidden from ordinary sight. Those willing to photograph lingering souls and complete a ritual may supposedly help trapped spirits finally find peace. Driven by desperation rather than logic, the protagonist travels to a park connected to his daughter’s disappearance and begins a painful journey into events far darker than he initially expects. What immediately separates Cursed Digicam from more conventional horror experiences is its emotional foundation. The central conflict is not simply about survival or escaping danger. Instead, the horror becomes tied directly to grief and loss. The protagonist’s motivations create stronger emotional investment because every disturbing discovery connects back to deeply personal pain. Chilla’s Art frequently uses human struggles to strengthen horror, and this approach works particularly well here. Fear emerges not only from supernatural events but from the emotional weight attached to uncovering painful truths. The camera itself becomes the defining gameplay mechanic. Players rely on the cursed device to locate supernatural entities invisible to normal vision. Exploration revolves around carefully investigating environments while using the camera to uncover hidden disturbances. This mechanic creates a constant sense of uncertainty because players never fully know what might appear through the lens. Ordinary surroundings can suddenly reveal something deeply unsettling, creating tension even during relatively quiet moments. The park setting serves as another major strength. Public parks are usually associated with relaxation, childhood memories, and normal life. Cursed Digicam slowly distorts that sense of familiarity. Empty walkways feel uncomfortable. Playground equipment carries emotional weight. Open spaces somehow become claustrophobic despite their size. Chilla’s Art consistently excels at making familiar locations feel wrong without relying on exaggerated visual design, and Cursed Digicam benefits greatly from that understanding of environmental horror. Atmosphere remains one of the experience’s strongest qualities. Chilla’s Art avoids relying entirely on loud scares or nonstop paranormal encounters. Instead, discomfort builds gradually through pacing and careful environmental design. Silence becomes increasingly unsettling. Players begin expecting danger long before it appears. Quiet exploration segments carry tension because the game constantly creates uncertainty regarding what may happen next. Horror often becomes strongest when players fear possibilities rather than immediate threats, and Cursed Digicam demonstrates that principle effectively. Visual presentation also supports the atmosphere successfully. The environments remain grounded and believable, helping supernatural elements stand out more dramatically when they appear. Lighting plays an important role in shaping mood, with darkness and shadows creating unease without making exploration frustrating. Chilla’s Art avoids visual excess and instead allows subtle environmental details to carry emotional weight. Sound design contributes heavily to the experience as well. Small environmental sounds become increasingly unsettling over time. Empty spaces rarely feel completely silent. Ambient audio quietly reinforces isolation while encouraging players to remain alert. The game understands that tension often emerges through anticipation, and sound design consistently strengthens that feeling throughout the experience. Gameplay remains relatively straightforward outside the camera mechanics. Players primarily investigate locations, search for clues, and gradually uncover information surrounding both the supernatural mystery and the protagonist’s emotional struggle. Additional guidance systems tied to clues left behind by the daughter help maintain pacing without removing the satisfaction of discovery entirely. The structure remains accessible while still preserving immersion. Narrative progression unfolds carefully through exploration rather than lengthy exposition. Chilla’s Art trusts players to absorb environmental details and connect story elements themselves. This approach strengthens engagement because players actively participate in uncovering answers instead of simply receiving information directly. Mystery remains an important part of the experience, allowing uncertainty to remain present for much of the game. The shorter runtime ultimately works in the title’s favor. Rather than stretching its ideas unnecessarily, Cursed Digicam maintains focus and momentum. The game delivers its emotional and psychological themes without unnecessary filler. Some players may wish for deeper mechanics or a longer campaign, but the concentrated design helps preserve atmosphere and tension. Certain players expecting more aggressive horror pacing or larger gameplay systems may find aspects of the experience restrained. Cursed Digicam prioritizes atmosphere and emotional storytelling over complexity. However, those willing to embrace slower psychological horror will likely find considerable value in what Chilla’s Art delivers. Cursed Digicam succeeds because it understands that horror becomes far more effective when connected to personal emotions. Loss, regret, desperation, and longing become equally important alongside supernatural elements. Chilla’s Art once again demonstrates that disturbing experiences do not require constant spectacle when atmosphere and emotional storytelling remain strong enough to carry the experience forward. For players who appreciate psychological horror, supernatural mysteries, exploration-driven gameplay, and emotionally grounded storytelling, Cursed Digicam offers another memorable addition to Chilla’s Art’s growing horror catalog. It balances grief and fear effectively while delivering an experience that lingers long after its final moments. Rating: 8/10
Games made with the unreal engine scare me
Pretty Spooky
不吓人 内容少 优化差 意味不明 莫名其妙 太敷衍了吧
A história é legalzinha, e a gameplay é interessante.
¡Me encantó! No parece que sea el juego más querido de Chilla's Art pero tiene un toque de misticismo muy bueno. Al principio parece que no termina de encajar todo, pero el final es revelador. PD: Lo peor que tiene es el rendimiento.
