[Chilla's Art] The Bathhouse | 地獄銭湯♨️

The people behind Chilla's Art, as well as the folks at Puppet Combo/Torture Star that are keeping the horror genre alive in video games. Too many games these days are huge letdowns. But these little indy games do it right and I'm grateful for them.

As of Update 2.02, the game is still a broken mess, and I can't recommend it to anyone. - Room 203 is still bugged and you have to delete the entire save folder EVERY TIME BEFORE YOU START THE GAME, otherwise the door won't work - Saving doesn't work, it always set you back to Day 1 on load but with your full inventory intact (god knows what else will bug out if you keep playing like this) - If you solve the Day 5 timed puzzle, it's a soft lock, you can't proceed (the pool of water that you are suppose to jump into doesn't spawn), so you have to purposely let the timer run out and fail this section to proceed (thank god it doesn't lock you out of the good ending) - Ending cut scenes are so low resolution, I can barely make out what's happening - Game is broken on 21:9 ultra-wide, the interface and dialogues gets chopped off (not really a game breaker, but have to set the game to windowed and at 16:9 resolution) If this was my first Chilla's Art game, I would put this developer on ignore forever. They really should delist this game and fix all the problems before relisting it. This is not doing Chilla's Art any favours (and their other games are great).

This is one of my favorite horror games I've played so far, very fun and creepy. A little difficult to get a good ending but still interesting.

I was pretty disappointed by this one, to be honest. The story is mediocre at best, there are quite some bugs that forced me to restart (thankfully you can restart the day instead of having to restart from the very beginning) and the performance is quite poor, as stated in other reviews. I didn't encounter any crashes, but there are plenty of people talking about it in the [url=https://steamcommunity.com/app/1956830/discussions/]Discussions[/url]. Hopefully CA manages to fix some of these issues in upcoming patches, as they usually do. Compared to other Chilla's Art games, this doesn't come close to being the best, but it's also not the worst they've released. I'd recommend giving it a try, especially if you're new to Chilla's Art games.

The game is good and i enjoyed, but i was asked for a review at the end, so... - The game atmosphere, tough great at the beginning, is somewhat easy to get used too specially if you have been playing the other games on the collection. - The graphics on the game have a good improvement on quality, but some optimizations are still needed since at this point some laginess and odd rendering may occur during game play. - The best aspect of the game is, as the community have pointed out quite well, the ghost design. Its simple, is creepy, is effective. Good Job - I would, tough, work on the comedic timing. Most of the time it is extremely out of place and comes out of nowhere, others just ends up breaking the atmosphere *smile*. A funny moment here and there to create a face palm or break the tension is always welcome, but too much of a good thing can do harm as well. - Some activities fell out of place without context. Would be nice some hint on where to put Thing A first before getting it. - Overall, i still think the game is a good addition to the collection. I recommend those who are not very used to horror contents to try it as a first game.

I love playing Chilla's Art games and got excited when this was released! Boy, The Bathhouse was freaking creepy and the scares got me good! I knew the deal of free housing, no rent, as long as I worked in a bathhouse, was a deal too good to be true lol. Lesson learned. XD I of course got the bad ending because I did not memorize the room and didn't expect to. I can't wait to try again to achieve the good ending. :) Can't wait for more Chilla's Art games in the future!

until the game gets patched, it is currently unplayable due to hard lock bugs, some people can play it, I cannot

Definitely can tell why it got taken offf the store. Broken as ♥♥♥♥. If you get the prroper puzzle arrangement, game is blocked. Reload? Get bad end even if you did everything properly.
