So, this game took me way too long to get to the end and I never even finished it. Pros: - Decent ambient noise - The apparitions and mannequins were kinda cool - The graphics weren't terrible - It's free Cons: - The highest resolution was 1920 x 1080 (though full screen mode doesn't make it an issue) - Interaction with the light switches and keys mostly wouldn't work if you could see the prompt for them - Some keys I picked up randomly without even knowing where they were - The keys don't tell you which room they're for, so you spend way more time than necessary trying to figure it out - Doors wouldn't open if you were right on top of them - The foot steps were too loud and annoying over time - Constant backtracking with such slow movement became tedious - The door that required the code kept adding a 5th digit when I hit the green button (even though you can't literally type a 5th one in yourself) and wouldn't accept the code - Figuring out the numbers for that door code were made by guessing If that door had opened I probably would've let the rest of this slide, because at least then the game would be over. But not being able to finish it was the last straw. Hopefully the next game these guys make will function properly.

Terrible walking simulator with minor horror events that are not very scary. Here is the concept of how the game works: You start out in a motel, all the doors are locked except for 1. You enter that door and you find a key.. Walk around and try the key on every door until you find the 1 that it opens (There are no labels on keys nor is there an inventory system to look at them). Once you find the room that the key unlocks. Do the same thing, maybe see some floating objects or ghosts as you continue walking and finding keys to open other rooms 1 by 1. Doesn't seem to be any puzzles just walking and opening doors. There is no sprinting ability, just walking. Very buggy. Sometimes you open a door and nothing happens, just plays the door opening sound effect but the door stays closed. Gotta turn around walk away, approach the door again and then it will open. A lack of unique graphics / textures makes various rooms look exactly alike. There is no uniqueness to the decor from 1 room to another. Sometimes your footsteps make noises like you have multiple pairs of feet walking. Not sure if that's intentional or not, but its definitely annoying. At first I thought someone was walking behind me. A lot of these key and door walking games on steam and they just don't add anything to the game play. Gets extremely boring and repetitive.
A little buggy so you aren't sure whether the game is malfunctioning or if walking through that door was SUPPOSED to put you in the wrong room. I expect this will get smoothed out with bugfixes, tho! Echoveil: The Last Guest is a little difficult to access if you have auditory processing difficulties: there are no subtitles for voice-overs and some of the sounds are extremely loud for no reason. But hey! It's free and I spent 2.5 hours noodling around with it. Since it kept my interest for that long, that earns a "recommend." The pieces of the story could be fleshed out a little bit, but it's a great first showing from this house.
Just beat the game. A super cool realistic horror game where you explore a haunted bloody motel full of scary creatures and moving mannequins. A magical journey where your goal is to find keys to unlock the rooms and discover their guresome ghostly poltergiest secrets. A 10/10 horror experience, unsettling and extremely fun and trippy. You will have a blast exploring floating toilets, furniture and moving mannequins im colorfully lit rooms! :D
GOTY 2025
very good game developing ,keep going😍
This game is really impressive work from small group of people!the game shows lots of heart and creativity..the game sfx is good(but can be better too) and visually a stunning one !everyone can feel the effort and passion behind every detail from the gameplay...the game mechanics is simple eventhough some puzzle is hard to find for me....very satified with the game and yeah need some improvement like lighting, text and sometimes the game looks abit blurry when set to epic graphics...Cant wait to see what you guys gonna build !!!
