Terrible game. The gameplay is just completely unenjoyable. Cool concept executed very poorly. *In response to the developer's request for more info*: Here are some more exact issues: -For some reason, you start on day 9, which means that despite being given a bunch of starting resources, if you start trying to build turrets immediately, they get wiped instantly on day 10 (2 minutes into playing). This frustrated me on the first play through. Why wipe towers immediately when the game starts? It doesn't make any sense. So why not wait until Day 10 to build? Because you can't build during an invasion. Okay, whatever, I'll try and fight the Day 10 wave. This wave is actually exceptionally difficult. The only way I could figure how to beat it was to instantly pour all my crystals into stamina regen (You have about a 20 second window to do this btw), and then sprint at the first giant while drawing aggro of half the invasion, and then you MUST cleave multiple enemies every swing or you WILL lose. And in spite of all of this preparation and careful fighting, it is inevitable you will have to pour some of the dropped red crystals into repairing the primary crystal, WHICH DOES NOT REGEN BETWEEN INVASIONS. -Menus are ugly. -There is no feedback when you press buttons or open menus. No sound, no jingle, no highlighting when your mouse hovers over things, nothing. -It is hard to tell when you take damage unless you stare at your tiny health bar in the absolute bottom left of the screen. -When you do finally figure out the day 10 wave puzzle and beat it, you finally get to build towers. This will make your job much easier won't it? Nope, after waiting all that time and spending all of your very limited resources, towers are destroyed in under 15 seconds. They do almost no damage and get destroyed instantly. -No time for gathering between waves. I can barely go to one biome and pick up stuff before the game simply progresses forward. You are INCREDIBLY slow in this game. This is supposed to be a survival crafting tower defense game, but you can't even gather resources without letting your main crystal lose half its health, WHICH YOU MUST SPEND RESOURCES TO FIX! It is a Sisyphean task. -The PVP isn't exciting or fun at all. You have to spend energy to swing. Which isn't a big deal right? Most games have stamina. But this stamina regens incredibly slowly in proportion to the number of mobs you have to fight. The game basically forces you to purchase the stamina regen upgrade, but recall that resources in this game are incredibly limited, so basically that is the *only* skill you can get. Also remember that the towers you build are essentially instantly destroyed, so its not like you can play around the towers either. -You can't seem to slow things down or stun them, or burn them, or poison them, or anything. You just do damage. The gameplay is incredibly flat. -No end screen when you die. The second your crystal or you die, the tutorial instantly appears on your screen. If the game wants to be difficult, at least show me a "YOU DIED" screen with some stats or SOMETHING. Everything feels like it has no pay off, imagine how furious I would be if I could make it to like day 30 and then die incidentally to something and then the tutorial pops up in my face. Its almost insulting. In conclusion: -Not aesthetically pleasing. -Mis-mashed assets with very different art styles. -Overly difficult and not in a satisfying way. -Zero consideration for the player is thinking or feeling at every single step. You should be ashamed of charging $5 for this game. A college student in a game design class spending 10 hours a week on their project for 6 weeks could produce something more coherent and fun. I would know, I HAVE PLAYED THOSE GAMES ON STEAM BEFORE! AND THE PROFESSORS GET THEM TO POST IT FOR FREE!
