game is actually pretty cool! I just feel that the rules and goals need to be explained better. But maybe im also just dumb.
"Crumble Party!" is a weird, dead, (I think student project?) collection of mini-games. The whole thing looks very consoley but doesn't seem to have been accepted on consoles, and it's a bit of a common thing when an amateur developer makes a console game that nobody wants to then publish on PC where people want it even less, but it only costs $100 to publish anything at all on Steam Direct, which is why there's so much of this shovelware. Now in fairness this looks better than most indie shovelware (hence my suspicion this is a student project... which would still be a problem because it's not good for gamers for there to be so many homework assignment tech demos on Steam when what gamers want is real, full games). There's a slew of different minigame activities all bundled in a weird and unappealing "cake nanorobot" wrapper that makes no sense at all. Minigames include stuff like a twin stick shooter, dice rolling stuff, and there's the narrative backdrop and a bit of an in-game (but not MTX thankfully) shop for upgrades and so on, fair enough. But this does lack polish and it's far from a masterpiece... or even good enough to have succeeded on Steam, this was a failure (see below) in more than one way. The primary goals revolve around collecting stuff and not getting knocked off platforms by enemy cake thing... oh the plot for this game makes zero sense at all. Here's another case where Itch failed. They have like, ONE job... to act as containment to prevent poorly made amateur shovelware from leaking out onto platforms where gamers might see them and lose hope in the gaming industry. But here we are. The participation trophies and hi-5's from the group hug weren't enough and some of the amateur drivel they're supposed to protect us from got out. On the important subject of visuals, this features fairly low quality stylised/cartoony low poly 3D graphics. It comes across as the kind of thing you see on mobile phones and Nintendo games, which will deter a lot of PC gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and to be considered one of the best games on Steam, the graphics have to be some of the best on Steam. That's not happening here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. I've seen much worse, but this is no shining jewel. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

'Crumble Party!' – это взрывная смесь хаоса, юмора и непредсказуемости, которая точно подарит вам хорошее настроение и массу положительных эмоций. Рекомендую!
