About
A tyrant king, his warlords and creatures rule the outer regions, and every road beyond the Breach promises adventures, dangers, and the Crown. Chosen heroes, exceptional in their art, have answered the call to restore order. And be it in hopeless sacrifice or noble victory, their stories are yet to be told.
Every turn in Crown Control is built around cards, positioning, and party roles. Battles play out on an isometric grid where movement and range matter, and even the biggest enemies can occupy multiple cells.
You begin with 9 heroes, each with a unique class: Knight, Archer, Thief, White Mage, Priestess of Light, Puppeteer, Arcanist, Blue Mage, and Blood Disciple. You can unlock 12 more heroes and their unique classes as you progress.
Each hero also has a Hero Ability available once per turn, and Ultimates once per chapter that can swing an entire fight. New cards, relics, and upgrades earned during the run keep reshaping your build from one battle to the next.
Cards come in 8 types:
Every run unfolds across 5 chapters of 5 acts each. Each act ends with an Epic-rank monster, and each chapter culminates in a regional boss. You can leave after Act 3 with your rewards, or push deeper into Acts 4 and 5 for harder fights, rarer relics and unique rewards. Your route is filled with battles, events, quests, merchants, rest sites, chests, elites, secrets, and bosses.
During events, the chances of each choice are displayed and can be affected by your hero's order and morality alignments, depending on the nature of the event:
During battles, face 50+ enemy types with distinct behaviors, ranges, afflictions, strengths, weaknesses, and battlefield roles. Victories and encounters feed your run with XP, card rewards, relics, equipment, potions, and gold, while leveling up strengthens Hero Abilities, grows specializations, and unlocks or upgrades Ultimates.
The Breach is your home between runs. Equip weapons, armor and accessories earned through previous achievements, choose hero, role, or regional quests, and prepare for the next expedition.
Player progression and class progression keep expanding your options between runs:
Crown Control is fully playable as a solo adventure or in online co-op with up to 4 players, and it is balanced for 1 to 4 heroes. Experiment with a vast variety of builds across different party sizes, roles, and playstyles.
