Crowded Mysteries

A game's purpose is to entertain. If I had fun, it has fulfilled its purpose. I am having so much fun with this game and the challenge is just perfect because when I get all of the clues right, I feel so gratified. The graphics quality is superb. The sound and music and the overall design is sharp and clear. This game runs flawlessly without any bugs. If you love hidden object games but with a little bit more of a challenge and story, then please buy this game and give this dev (or devs) a rewarding review for making part of your day (or days) pleasurable and relaxing. I am hoping to see more of this type of game from this developer. Please hurry and make more as I have an unquenchable thirst for this type of game.

This is a very mixed review, very close to a negative one, but it just made it over the edge. The concept is fun, a hidden object type game where you search a large picture for clues. On the down side, you can only find them in order, and I find a lot of them before they are called for, which is irritating. Also there is a strange, annoying timer, which is not only irritating, but very stingy. Luckily it doesn't seem to end the investigation, but just give you fewer stars. Why? Usually games with the stars-per-level mechanism have some replay value, but once you have found the clues, replay is kind of silly. And stars are need for achievements, as well as opening night time missions, so they also become annoyingly mandatory. The missions themselves are okay, though you are led my the nose by the police telling you what to look for next. In fact the game is so simplistic you might think it is for children, except for the murder, the mentions of pornography, and what I assume is going to be a perverted Santa Claus. Still, I expect to keep playing, and it is tough to give a negative review to a game I want to keep playing. One very tepid thumb up. ADDENDUM: Kind of difficult when the things you are looking for are hidden, and only clicking the clue button reveals it. Geez.

No ha estado mal para echar el rato, aunque me ha parecido bastante escaso de contenido. La mecánica es entretenida: en cada caso vas desentramando los misterios buscando por el mapa qué han hecho los personajes hasta que das con la solución. Sólo tiene 20 casos y todos se desarrollan en el mismo mapa. No es demasiado rejugable ya que una vez has hecho los casos ya sabes las soluciones. La única rejugabilidad es la de querer mejorar tu puntuación en cada mapa, encontrar las pistas adicionales y jugarlo en modo invertido. A mi me ha durado unas 3h para sacarle todos los trofeos. Lo recomiendo por que me ha entretenido, pero insisto en que me parece caro para el contenido que ofrece.

[b] Děkuji Rohlíkovi, od kterého jsem tuhle hru dostal jako dárek.[/b] Pěkná hra, ve které musíte ve dvaceti misích najít různé věci a osoby. Jste detektivem a vaší prací je vyřešit nejrůznější případy. Ty se rozpínají od jednoduchého nalezení uprchnuvšího vězně, přes pátrání po zvířatech ze zoo, až po vyšetřování krádeží a vražd. Tenhle titul mi dost připomínal Crime O'Clock, respektive MicroMacro, protože zde máte jednu větší mapu a na ní postavičky a je na vás najít ty požadované lidi nebo vysledovat jejich pochod skrz ono město. Bohužel to celé trpí několika věcmi. Za prvé jsou jednotlivé případy nerovnoměrně časově vyvážené, takže vám některé zaberou pár desítek sekund a u jiných se to natáhne maximálně k pár minutám. Celkově je délka nic moc, což ale zase odpovídá nižší ceně, takže v tomhle ohledu to není zas taková hrůza. Co je horší, je to, že místy je obtížnost prakticky neexistující a je velmi lehké najít požadované věci. Někdy je to naopak těžší, to když máte vysledovat pohyb postavy, ale ten není logický (vidíte, že míří na nějaké místo, ale na tom místě nedostanete další nápovědu, kudy šla, ale musíte se posunout o kus dál, kde jste nemohli tušit, že by byla). Paradoxně mi pak nejvíce času vzalo hledání prvního požadavku. Ale velmi záhy jsem si na to všechno zvykl a užil si celý tento zážitek. Vizuálně je to v pořádku, hudební smyčka, byť se opakuje, tak zas tak moc neruší. Případy jsou někdy zajímavé a mají i nějaký ten zvrat, ale jinak to není nic, co bych mohl extra vyzdvihovat. Prostě je to takový průměr. Je tu naštěstí i nápověda, která se nabíjí celkem krátkou dobu a rovněž tu naleznete i tři obtížnosti. Co mě potěšilo nejvíce byl ne tak ukecaný parťák, na rozdíl od výše zmíněného Crime O'Clock, kde furt mlel pantem. Tady vám policista jen poskytne v pár větách další krok, který musíte učinit a vy se můžete pustit do hledání. Je tu také deník, to kdybyste náhodou zapomněli, co máte hledat nebo o co v tomhle případě jde. Kromě klasické hry můžete přepnout po dokončení většiny levelů na tři hvězdy (váže se ne na použití nápověd, ale na rychlost zdárného vyřešení) barevnou paletu na obrácenou, tedy z bílé se stane černá a tak. Navíc se i herní plocha obrátí a celé je to takové... no, nepřišlo mi to moc dobré, bylo to méně přehledné a navíc zatímco v základním módu se nalezené stopy zabarví do normálních barev, tak v nočním módu se nic takového neděje, takže je to celé o to horší. Nicméně nikdo vás nenutí v tomhle hrát. Za sebe říkám, že je to dobrá hra, více na odpočinek a kratší, takže cena víceméně odpovídá délce zážitku.

Lovely game. It's a hidden object-type game where you have to find the victims/criminals/missing puppies/whatever and figure out what happened. The timer is very unforgiving, but there's no punishment per se for going over time, you just don't get as many stars. There are twenty cases, with minor replay value if you want to get the achievements... the Lightning Bolt one is rather intense. The UI is a little rough around the edges, but hey, it's a small indie, it's fun and wholesome, and the graphics are lovely. One thing I don't like is how the playable area extends to the very edges of the screen, which 1) feels a bit suffocating and 2) can obscure necessary clues with UI elements. You can get around the latter by zooming in, but still. These are pretty minor complaints, though. Overall, lovely game.
