Fun game, good little puzzle game to whittle time away. Looking forward to more from this developer. The theme is very wholesome and the puzzle mechanics are simple to understand and don't take too much to learn. Some of the RNG can be a little funky but that's puzzle games for you. Plus its free! If you like it, supporting the dev can be done with the little content pack.
Игра 'CROAK CAFE: FROM POND TO PLATE' - это неожиданно захватывающий симулятор управления рестораном с милой лягушачьей тематикой.

I loved this game but I'm lost at how to get the hidden achievements! lol. Hopefully there's a guide up about it soon.
very fun if you don't rage easily
"CROAK CAFE : FROM POND TO PLATE" is basically a ripoff of someone else's game (Suika, copyright 2021, Aladdin X), but with a fast food/frog skin on it. Basically you play Suika here, but there's an added goal of needing to make certain merges to feed frogs, adding a really crap mobile tier restaurant platespinner element to what is otherwise infringing on Aladdin X's copyright. Will the differentiation be enough to avoid a DMCA takedown? Who knows, but as a gamer, we all know it's disappointing to see developers steal other, better developers games. What do you do in the game? It's Suika. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. They have their hand out for a $4 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to give them money from buying empty DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 10 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
A fun physics based puzzle game inspired by Japanese viral hit Suika Game. Simple, cute, and also its FREE!
