For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Good short room escape game based on earlier game ^^ Too bad it's too short and the price is kinda high
Not a fan of this game but the puzzels really make me think. Comforting game :)
Crimson Room: Decade, developed by Dream Holdings and TAKAGISM Inc. and published by KOMODO and Dream Holdings, is a modern continuation of one of the most influential escape-room experiences in gaming history. Building upon the legacy of the original Crimson Room, which helped popularize the escape-the-room genre during the early days of browser-based Flash games, this installment reimagines the concept in a fully realized 3D environment while preserving the core principles that defined its predecessor. It places players in a confined, ominously red chamber and challenges them to observe, deduce, and methodically unravel the secrets hidden within its walls. You assume the role of Inspector Jean-Jacques Gordot, who awakens trapped in the infamous Crimson Room under mysterious circumstances. The narrative unfolds subtly through environmental storytelling, hidden notes, and scattered clues rather than through overt exposition. The room itself becomes both setting and antagonist—an enclosed puzzle box filled with locked drawers, concealed mechanisms, peculiar objects, and cryptic hints. The sense of isolation is immediate and persistent, and the lack of guidance reinforces the feeling of vulnerability. From the outset, the game makes it clear that progress will require patience, curiosity, and close attention to even the smallest details. The core gameplay adheres to classic point-and-click escape design. Players must explore the room from multiple perspectives, inspect objects, rotate items within the inventory, and combine them in logical ways to unlock new paths forward. The puzzles range from straightforward mechanical interactions to more layered challenges that require connecting disparate clues found throughout the environment. Some solutions offer satisfying “aha” moments when patterns click into place, while others demand persistent experimentation. This blend of intuitive logic and occasional obscurity mirrors the spirit of early escape-room design, which often prioritized mystery and difficulty over accessibility. Visually, Crimson Room: Decade transitions the concept into a three-dimensional space, adding depth and subtle environmental detail absent from its 2D origins. The room feels tangible, with lighting and texture choices reinforcing its unsettling atmosphere. The dominant red palette creates a constant undercurrent of tension, and as you interact with objects and uncover hidden elements, the space gradually feels less static and more psychologically charged. The environment evolves as puzzles are solved, maintaining a sense that something larger is at play beyond mere mechanical escape. Sound design plays a crucial role in sustaining immersion. Ambient noises, subtle creaks, and restrained musical cues amplify the claustrophobic tension. The absence of an overwhelming soundtrack allows silence to take center stage, heightening focus during puzzle-solving moments. Each small discovery or unlocked compartment carries weight because the quiet atmosphere magnifies even minor developments. The game resists jump scares or overt horror elements, instead relying on steady psychological unease to maintain engagement. Despite its strengths, the experience is not without its limitations. The deliberate pace and occasionally cryptic puzzle logic may frustrate players accustomed to more modern adventure design. Pixel-hunting—carefully scanning the screen for small interactive hotspots—remains part of the gameplay, which can feel dated in comparison to contemporary user interface standards. Additionally, the overall runtime is relatively brief; experienced puzzle solvers may complete the game in just a few hours. However, this compact structure aligns with the genre’s roots, delivering a focused and self-contained experience rather than an expansive narrative epic. Replay value comes primarily through achievements and the satisfaction of uncovering optional secrets. While once the solutions are known the mystery diminishes, revisiting the game can highlight the careful design embedded in its puzzles and environmental clues. For fans of the original Crimson Room, Decade functions as both homage and expansion, enriching the mythos of the room while modernizing its presentation. Ultimately, Crimson Room: Decade stands as a respectful continuation of a genre-defining concept. It does not attempt to reinvent escape-room gameplay but instead refines and contextualizes it within a more immersive 3D framework. Its strength lies in atmosphere, careful observation, and the quiet thrill of incremental discovery. For players who appreciate methodical puzzle solving and the tension of confined exploration, it offers a concentrated and atmospheric journey into one of gaming’s most iconic locked rooms. اللعبة سيئة تجيب الهم
Though a bit clunky in the face of many other modern games, this is a really fun puzzle experience and a great updated take on the classic flash game.

I cannot be sure if this game is worth $10, but if it is on sale, then it is a good buy. Have you played the original Crimson Room and its flash game sequels? While those are classic nostalgic games, this game is a different "feel", but I would also say that it is a lot better designed and a lot more etiquettely pleasing than the previous games. The ending is somewhat cool but you could ask yourself, what was the point of all that, when finished.... Most importantly, if you can get through this game without a guide it might take hours of your time. Let's be honest, how likely are you to not look at a guide?
