Great game! you should credit your Voice Actors. After some gameplay, I found a few bugs; - When interacting with the person in the stall to give the red cloth and dying, the player will then open up the dialogue menu with the stall person whenever interacting. - After a period of time, became unable to interact with my inventory, thus making "Defeat Shizuka" impossible. This would not be so punishing if I could have a save file and just restart the game and not from the beginning
The game in its artwork, UI, and menus was well designed and the voice actors pretty good but the game has a game breaking bug to where you can't click on your items in your inventory and to make things worse there are zero checkpoints / chapter saves/ regular saves in the game (if you die you go back to the beginning of whatever floor you are on) so if something happens such as this glitch for example you have to start from the beginning of the game and all the progress you made was pointless. Another thing that was bad was animations / ai pathing. With the enemy animations and ai pathing it feels very much like a solo dev who just started making games did the work for them since it appears as if they are running on air towards you and in some cases they won't be facing you while hitting you but you will still take damage when the enemies are close enough. For their ai pathing it is awkward and unnatural and in some cases they can even walk into each other and will be stuck on loop until you get close enough to them. The game could of benefited from loading screens as well but besides that from what I can tell is that at least around 10 people worked on this based on the social media for the dev team but it seems most of the effort went into what I mentioned in the first sentence of the review and unfortunately nothing besides that got the same amount of love that was needed to make it an ok or maybe good game. It was free but the game breaking bug of not being able to click on inventory items / no saves at all in the game killed the mood for me to go on but besides that the game was not of very good quality core gameplay wise but would of been an ok somewhat trash game (not sure how to describe it lol) if the game breaking bug didn't happen. Also not sure why no checkpoints or saves were put in the game but beyond that if you can get through the game without the glitch then I would recommend if you are looking for a game to play but just be aware that your playthrough could be ended when you don't expect it if the glitch happens to you https://youtu.be/k8MgyEEc6sE

Unplayable, full of bugs, issues... to bad bcs the art is kinda nice.
Overall I really enjoyed the premise of the game. The art style of the game and narrative direction is interesting. I feel like the choice to make fire salts be so plentiful makes the rest of the salts feel a little useless since I would just use my fire salts to just kill whatever came at me without much worry which made the game a little less scary. I also ran into a bug where I wasn't able to use anything in my inventory whatsoever so it made the last half of the game frustrating but also not impossible to finish. There were also areas at the hospital level that were very clearly unfinished. I could see where the map ended and sections of the map that were clearly meant to be non-euclidean. If I could make a suggestion level 2, I would recommend making it more tight corners to increase the fear factor of wondering what might be around the next corner. Otherwise, I can see a monster running from far away and either avoid it or just kill it once it's in range. As for the geometry of the map there are clever ways to hide it's non-euclidean nature by adding trees in front of windows so that it's hard to see far beyond that. I think some tweaks to the game design and fixing the bugs could make this a very promising game.
I've only reached beyond the courtyard as of now (No spoilers to where/when that is) and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. The atmosphere is fantastic. You can certainly see and feel the art direction clearly. Music? Bangers. Gonna need the soundtrack. I'll admit I'm not wild on how items are placed around, feeling rather sporadic, but it's understandable with the setting. Inflection on the voice acting could use some work, but most of the lines feel very clear and with feeling. Movement feels good, and collision of objects is pretty clear as well. ♥♥♥♥ Jeremy though.
The art and voice acting are definitely strong points of this game, but all of the bugs and not having an option to save is not very cool. This game definitely has a lot of potential and for what looks to be a school project, it's great.
For a school project this game exceeds expectations. The game moves well, the music is nice, the art style and graphics are really well done, and it actually runs above 100 fps which is always a plus. There was a lot more content than I initially had thought, the levels were well made, and interacting with the game felt smooth Couple of notes I had taken throughout my playing 1. The game has some bugs that are at best a workaround and at worst game breaking. 2. The story is brought onto the player rather quickly and is fairly hard to follow. I understood that there was
some tragedy in the main character's past, but even now having completed it I'm still a little lost on the whole thing. Why is the school bus driving to a different school? Why is her teacher of 4 years the one that killed that one girl (I think her sister)? I understand the notes were meant to help the player learn what was happening, but due to them being optional reads I mostly skimmed through them or ignored them entirely.
3. Not as scary as I hoped. I will say the game did make me a little nervous from time to time with the strange noises and enemies sneaking up on me because their noises wouldn't play, but the enemies would get stuck a lot which took a lot of the immersion out of the game I'd love to see the game grow and iron out some of those bugs/quality of life improvements. Keep up the work guys you all have bright futures -Ryan P.S. Need to give Man #2 more voice lines, that guy killed it
Peccato.
