Crimson Gray: Dusk and Dawn

Short but a very nice capstone to the story of John and Lizzie.

Not as compelling as the first story, due to the lower stakes, but I think the abundance of good character-work makes up for that. Thanks for this experience, Sierra Lee.

Played the original Crimson Dawn and I can say that I absolutely love both of them 100%!!!

A solid sequel~ I enjoyed it and the wedding scene was actually good and didn't make me cringe. It kept everyone in character with plenty of yandere moments. I especially liked the notebook detail.

Experience her homicidal urges in order to protect John, while also trying to get through college. Depending on your choices, you can make or break your relationship. [h1]Pros:[/h1] [b]1.[/b] I appreciate that the story goes into their college years with some aftermath from KoiTec's controversy. It's a fine closing for John and Lizzie's relationship, especially with how this situation can stress John out to where [spoiler]it can interfere with your wedding.[/spoiler] [b]2.[/b] Small amount of new characters: Aaron, Rose, and Francesca Kelsey. They're minor characters, but they do help bring the story forward. I also like how Lizzie interacts with them. Lizzie sees the problematic women as seductive and threats to John. If she deems them safe, they look normal to her. [spoiler]This changes when she finds out Aaron is gay and her view of him changes to where she sees him as a threat.[/spoiler] I do enjoy how we play as Lizzie so we get to see her thoughts. [b]3.[/b] The first game we played as John, his depression made the visuals gray and dull. Here we see how Lizzie's rage affects her to where she sees red. It also makes her sets of choices destructive where some choices transition words with their true meanings such as [b]Talk to Aaron = Interrogate Aaron[/b]. I also like how she refers to John as "Him" than his name. [spoiler] The wedding part where there's the same choices but the capitalization is different is neat. Capital H is obsessive and dangerous Lizzie, while lowercase H is docile Lizzie. I find that neat![/spoiler] [b]4.[/b] The art by Redd Art (Reddverse) returns and is great to see again! Soft and wonderful art, sex scenes are intimate and works great in showing their relationship. [h1]Neutrals:[/h1] [b]1.[/b] The music is royalty free [url=https://incompetech.com/]Kevin Macleod[/url]. It fits in, but no other comments to make again. [h1]Cons:[/h1] [b]1.[/b] The story does feel milquetoast. While that's not entirely bad, it was quite the jump from the first game. KoiTec is still a dominating force, but not to the extent of the previous one. Aside from putting pressure on John and Lizzie indirectly, they don't have much presence, even after a massacre. The conflict is very light in this title, the main one is just not succumbing to Lizzie's murderous tendencies. [b]2.[/b] Unsure if it's intentional because it's Lizzie or due not enough funds, I wish there were more character sprites. Seeing clones of the same girl and no sprite for Francesca Kelsey is a bit disappointing. [h1]Conclusion:[/h1] I enjoyed how it wraps up John and Lizzie's love for each other, along with a well done POV of Lizzie. Coming from the last game, seeing color in the backgrounds felt surreal. Also, the story is so engaging that my mouse cursor wanted to participate and make its own choices. Therefore, this a better love story than twilight.

В итоге за сюжетом не очень интересно следить. Есть непристойности с горячей блондинкой.

This was very disappointment. Crimson Gray was Absolute Cinema the best visual novel imo. Dusk and Dawn feels like an "OVA" (extra episode on anime). Characters don't interact like at all. You spend like 95% of the game reading the narrator. I almost fall asleep the first 45 min. There is just "One Ending" the True Ending bc if you pick the wrong option the game literally resets to the title screen with zero context (You just lose I.. guess?) Zero kxll screens what a turn off... And the story... what story? They cook that plot with Kelsey and some "weird" gal, just to end like this??... My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
