Creaks

I adore the art style and sound direction in this game. Knowing that all those amazing interiors were done by hand warms my heart - and when you look out at the distant background, it really is beautiful and atmospheric. The puzzles are also great, quite original, and indeed challenging at times. Not quite sure that I got the underlying meaning of the story, but I think it is a tale of an imaginative person defeating their own fears and nightmares. Very nice and self-contained experience, would recommend!

My very first game from Amanita Design. A beautiful visual style, lovely music, and very smooth, accessible gameplay. Although I'm not exactly the target audience for puzzle games, I’ve wanted to try this little title from the Czech studio for a long time. Personally, I can recommend it with a clear conscience. The story pulls you forward and is full of mystery that you just want to uncover. The mystery of the underground world, which lures you in one evening through the wallpaper, is magical, and you want to find out what awaits you at the end at all costs. To be completely honest, I would have appreciated some form of hint system—nothing major, just a tiny nudge forward—because about halfway through, the puzzles started getting a bit too complex for me. I can admit without shame that I played through the second half of the game together with my female friend, solving it as a team. So, fans of puzzle games can easily add a point or two to my final recommendation. Rating: 6/10

Its a good puzzle game. I really liked the artstyle and music. The story was...there.

A nice and short puzzle game, with pleasant music and a nice story. Some of the stages can really challenge you, but that's where your creativity comes into play. There are some hidden rooms, so always be on the lookout for things that don't look out of place. Would recommend, 8/10.

I really love this hand-drawn games. It reminds me of how wonderful it is to be a kid again, tho being an adult has its perks. Definitely recommended, especially if you use an external game controller. Update: After I finished this series, I seriously wanted more of the story above, but then again, it's time to say farewell. I really love how short but so story rich and puzzle-rich this game is... I played Afterimage, but it can't even get to touch how amazing this game called Creaks is. P.S. I got this for -70% off on summer sale, and it's worth every penny. If I had the money, I'd buy this full price, but fortunately, Steam got a sale, and I got a wonderful experience.
