About

Crawl Tactics combines classic turn-based tactics with roguelike progression. In Dungeon Mode, face challenging, ever-changing encounters as you explore procedurally generated maps. In Quest Mode, develop your village, train your mercenaries, and defend against growing enemy invasions.

Crawl Tactics is not a puzzle-like tactical game focused on finding one correct solution, but a turn-based strategy RPG forfans of classic, orthodox SRPGs.
You can enjoy deep tactical gameplay that considers height differences, unit facing, weather, terrain, and more.
Traps and terrain affect both you and your enemies. Set grass on fire, electrocute enemies standing on water, or ignite poison clouds.
Various interactions are possible through pushing/throwing objects and units. Push enemies off high ground or into blade traps, or roll boulders to hit them.
You can also activate cannons or crossbow traps to damage distant enemies, and all traps can trigger in chains for satisfying results.

You can freely customize skills, equipment, classes, techniques, and appearance.
Even after clearing the main dungeon, you can continue developing your characters through New Game Plus and Reverse, which allows you to reset classes even after advancing to higher tiers.
From a solo party to an 8-member battle party, you can build any party composition you want.
Dungeon Mode lets you explore dungeons composed of multiple rooms.
Both the dungeons and the battlefields within them are procedurally generated, providing challenging and varied experiences.
Ruins, caves, catacombs, forests—each features unique climates, monsters, and environments.
Every dungeon may include hostile or friendly NPCs, special mercenaries or valuable items, and unique events such as siege battles or defense missions.
In Quest Mode, you expand your village by constructing buildings each turn and hire multiple mercenaries, sending whichever ones you choose on the quests you want.
Rewards differ depending on the type of quest you undertake each turn, and you can also choose higher difficulties, allowing as much grinding as you prefer.
Through village events where monsters invade at set intervals, you can engage in larger-scale battles than in standard quests.

Reviews
This game offers what modern and traditional tactical games feature, made by a dedicated developer, who's enthusiastic about responding to everything on the game's Steam forum. In terms of both the quality of this game and the dedication of the developer, I believe all tactics lovers should own a copy. Lets make this wonderful game great again!
Très sympathique !
I would love to see a DLC, support pack, or even a free update (it doesn’t really matter which) where the dungeon mode and the other mode are combined into one experience. It would be amazing to play the story and the invasion system together in a single, mixed mode. This game is awesome — I’m already spending so much time on it. The core system feels really solid and well designed. That said, sadly this game is not very “new-to-tactics” friendly, at least from what I’ve seen so far. It can be really confusing at first. Some systems and enemy scaling could definitely use a bit more polish. For example, in one room I might face a 9 HP flying imp, and then suddenly there’s a 90+ HP skeleton warrior tank in the same dungeon. I can see that the system is trying to balance things, but it ends up feeling inconsistent and confusing. In one dungeon you might get a level 5 imp with 14 HP, and in the very next room you’re facing six skeleton tanks with 90+ HP each. At that point, you just get mathematically wrecked. The only real option is to leave the dungeon, which surprisingly doesn’t seem to have any negative effect on the team. Bless the devs, but that feels a bit exploitable, haha. I do kind of miss having more tutorials, but I managed to get the hang of it. I play on Veteran difficulty (anything lower would feel like a shame after tens of thousands of hours in tactical games).
This is easily becoming one of my favorite games. I've been looking for a roguelike tactical rpg for a while, and I finally found this game after enough searching. I even got a refund on Final Fantasy: Chronicals of Ivalice because this game scratches the itch in a way that game didn't There's a lot of things I love about this game. The tactical combat feels really good, and there's a nice mixture between basic frontline/backline fundies and creative environment play. The shared mana system is really smart because it allows for splashy plays while keeping the average power level per turn in check. The progression also feels really good, both for the characters and the home base. I'm only 15 hours in and might have rose-colored glasses, but right now the tactics and strategies of this game feel really good Overall, this game rewards intelligent play at all scales. If you enjoy tactical rpg games and are looking for a streamlined experience, I'd highly recommend this game
Best tactical RPG i've ever played, just wish there was more to it. Maybe a co-op mode.
Great little tactics game, I was really unsure at first during tutorial but after giving it a chance having lots of fun so far, scratched my old school fire emblem itch. Thanks for making !
응??
Maybe it's a good game and I just suck at it. I don't know. Even on Casual, I can have several party members completely wiped out in a single turn. I was hoping this would scratch that Final Fantasy Tactics itch, but I can get past that RNG. I can even deal with Chocobo Meteora. I seem to have no idea how to get past my entire party having no real skills, no ability to choose when to save or what state to load from, having enemies before I've unlocked a single thing able to one shot my entire party. Not a fun experience. Feels like drudgery. Looks like drudgery. Gonna go play something I enjoy.
