bir yengeç kardeşimizin garip hikayesi idare eder
Some games designed during early projects wind up being fantastic surprises. Crab Cakes Rescue does not fall into that category. In all facets, it falls short. It tries something different, but unfortunately that attempt didn't pan out this time. 2/10 Come join the hunt for hidden gems! Click Here for Digging Deep. The primary gimmick of this beach-side platformer slash puzzle game is you must climb over the corpses of your failed predecessors to advance. When the little crab dude dies, his shell (and presumably bones and flesh) stay where he died. The intention is to commit suicide in a strategic fashion so one can climb higher than before or create a platform path over death traps. The result is a frustrating mechanic that adds more difficulty to the game than the actual level design. Often, you will accidentally die trying to get the bonus coins (which, I failed to see a significant use for) and your immobile ancestor's cadaver will now do nothing except block your access to the treasure. A similar thing will happen where you block the exit door or the key you must gather to go through said door. This forces you to restart the level over and over, as there's no way to destroy or move the shell. Most of the platforming and shell-dropping seems to be half timing and half luck. Audio-wise, the sounds and effects noises used are disjointed and inconsistent. They don't seem to be equalized, or recorded in the same fashion, so they come off quite disorienting. Combine that with the Michael Scott style Carribean music
I like it HOT, HOT, HOT *steel drum*
and you've got a great candidate to be muted for however long you can bring yourself to play. There may be tons and tons of levels, but they don't seem all that different from one another, just the same sprites in a different order over the same couple of backdrops. Conceptually, I actually really like the idea of strategic suicide, but it just falls short in this exercise of it. This is a pretty strong avoid for me. There's a hint of possibility here, but not enough to warrant investing in it. If the devs take the experience from this game, and suggestions from the community, they have the potential to produce a redeeming second game (hopefully not Crab Cakes 2, though).
The game can't be finished because of a bug.
Что за г##но я получил с раздачи ?
The perfect game. From the amazing story to the impeccable graphics and soundtrack. Nothing will ever provide such a hardcore gaming experience.
actually it's not bad
Весьма неплохой платформер!
A Generic Physics-Puzzler, Crab Cakes Rescue is a game about this crab (you) trying to save another crab (I guess I didn´t finish the game), you must use your "Lifes" in order to create plataforms with the remain shells. The game is nice, but its Physics-Puzzles push you to a stress position and this situation makes you feel bad. I played it for few hours, but it is not my kind of game that is the reason because I recommend this game because I am not an "expert" so try it on your own risk. "Bug" it seems the boolean trigger for the last chapter of the game doesn´t work according to other users. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ $ PRICE / QUALITY ☐ Free ☐ Don't buy it ☐ Refund ☑ Not worth the money ☐ Acceptable ☐ Absolutely worth it ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ❤ AUDIENCE ☑ Everyone ☐ Kids ☐ Casual Players ☐ Pro Players ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✔ REQUIREMENTS ☑ Caveman PC ☐ Low End ☐ Decent ☐ High End ☐ NASA Computer ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ☁ GRAPHICS ☐ Minesweeper ☑ Bad ☐ Decent ☐ Good ☐ Real Life ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⌛ GAME TIME ☐ Download took longer ☐ Short ☑ Few Hours ☐ Long ☐ Skyrim / Endless ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✎ STORY ☑ None ☐ Still better than Twilight ☐ Good ☐ Half Life 2/The Witcher 3 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ☠ DIFFICULTY ☐ You need a brain ☐ Easy ☑ Easy to learn, hard to master ☐ Hard ☐ Dark Souls ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ☼ BUGS ☑ Unplayable (according to its community) ☐ Bugs ruining game ☐ Lots of bugs ☐ Few bugs ☐ None ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⚑ OTHER ☐ Multiplayer ☑ Singleplayer ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✿ THE FUN METER! ✿ ☐ Boring ☑ Okay (frustrating is the correct word) ☐ Fun ☐ Become an evil factory owner and f*** up the whole planet. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Crab Cakes starts out as just an alright punishing puzzle platformer. It has a great concept and the level challenges are decent even if you ignore the fact that every level looks the same, has the same obnoxious music, or has awful hitboxes that makes the difficulty annoyingly frustrating most of the time. But the fact that the last two chapters of the game cannot be unlocked unless you hack the game files is unacceptable. Add that with a broken item system implemented in the dumbest way possible, the game is begging you to hack the files and cheat. And since you have to hack the game anyway to complete it... Well, bottom line is this games final chapters feel as if they were rushed in development and no fore thought was put into them at all. Bottom line is you have to hack the game to complete it. Hacking it is going to allow you to cheat and cheating is the only way that makes the stupid item system feel halfway useful. This game is broken and poorly designed and a player won't see the brunt of that until they get to the final chapters and finds out just how much hot garbage this game truly is.
