Cowbots and Aliens

Played this game with a couple of friends and it was a lot of fun! Most of which was derived just from screwing around in and around the bar. The game modes are fun though and the shooting feels really good. Melee weapons are a bit hard to throw and don't grab by the hilt unless you pick it up the right way. The graphics are charming and fit the game very well, and if you have friends to play with it provides for an entertaining sandbox to screw around in. It's easily the most fun i've had in a VR multiplayer game. The only downside is, that the playerbase is basically zero so finding a random opponent will most likely not happen. Just gather your friends and enjoy well-refined multiplayer. This game receives my seal of approval and recommendations.

Excellent mechanics and very immersive. Jumping into a room, flipping a table and ducking behind it for cover, picking up a bottle and smashing it on the bar, leaning around a wall to peek into a room; it all works very intuitively. Had a lot of fun playing it against the bots as well. It does need some more levels, weapons, etc. (it is early access), but the core mechanic is very solid. Highly recommended.

Cowbots and Aliens makes me think of TF2 - it's silly and fun, with tons of little easter eggs in the layout and decorations. I quickly and easily got immersed in the world, enjoying the scenery and sillyness of it all. I'm still pretty awkward at VR shooters, but I felt comfortable playing this one and learning all the awkward new muscle memories I need to develop for VR, such as picking items up, throwing things, and trying to shoot your gun without accidentally also dropping it. The furniture and terrain are also great, allowing you to hide around corners, duck behind a table, or use a chair as a shield. This game gives you the space and feedom to move your body to advantage, and quick reflexes and the willingness to actually crouch or duck your body can be a huge help. I recommend a properly clear playing area. The cartoonish robots and aliens also aliviate (at least for me) that awkwardness when playing in a multiplayer VR space, where other players may get too physically close to you, especially in a deliberate manner. I was able to feel comfortable in my avatar skin when close to other players since the game animation of a floaty robot or alien made it difficult and nonsensical for a fellow player to produce vulgar movements designed to make someone else uncomfortable. The hardest part of this game is trying to convince other players to play it - the lobby is a huge amount of fun and seems awesome enough to be the game itself! But there are actual competiton game modes and challenges to play, if you can manage to convince other folks to abandon the saloon brawl at the launch screen.

This is a game that is lacking players... nut overall is quite fun for a couple hours if you manage to find some players

very fun even tho not alot of people play this game i got it on sale for only ten bucks and i wold have got it if it was 60$

A well made VR multiplayer shooter. The mechanics work fine, and it looks and feels excellent. VR multiplayer needs this game. Great potential, but needs more players; that's why I'm writing this review.

roughout the aeons, cowbots and aliens have fought in epic Wild-West showdowns. How does this game compare to other VR shooters? The answer is: Not especially well. And the core reason is that this game relies on online multiplayer, yet there are too few people online to play with, and so most gaming time is spent with bots. The graphics are rather sparse too. Nevertheless, the concept is funny and it has the barebones structure of a potentially fantastic game. Calories/hour: 204 Distance travelled: 684 Average HR: 92 (range 77-119)

This game seems half finished, movement within the game is troublesome at best, Bots are stupid and worst of all there is no one to play with. Asking for refund.

Its really great game,,,now with bots are really fun to play.
