Counter-Strike: Condition Zero

This is COD4 before COD4. Despite the jank, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is a really fun shooter that manages to have both tactical elements (in stuff like the Tour of Duty mode which is basically CS1.6 singleplayer) and action elements with the Deleted Scenes campaign. While sometimes you will run into frustrating moments, I'd say it's worth playing through both modes. The graphics sure are impressive for the Half-Life engine, even though you can still tell it's [i] really [/i] dated. It has this unique charm while still looking like a Counter-Strike title and I prefer it's visuals over 1.6 because of that. Gameplay-wise it's basically just your average Counter-Strike game, in Tour of Duty at least. Deleted Scenes is a mix of Half-Life and Call of Duty, as you travel around the world fighting terrorists and doing missions reminiscent of action movies. You will run into glitches though. Due to the game's age it's been slowly breaking apart and it's unfortunate how as of yet nothing's been done about this, so make sure to keep that in mind. And in Deleted Scenes there will be parts where you run out of ammo. Ammo management is very, very important in this game, so make sure to focus on that if you try it. Overall, despite it's flaws, I still really like Condition Zero and both of it's modes. I'd recommend this if you like Half-Life 1 or the old CODs, or old shooter games in general. It's a good time.
