COTTOn Rock'n'Roll -SUPERLATIVE NIGHT DREAMS-

Cotton makes a triumphant return to the gaming space with her first true sequel in ages. The gameplay is a lot faster and more frantic than the previous games, encouraging you to go ham with the crystal magic to increase your chain counter, and all the different playable characters add their own spin to the game mechanics, almost as if you got multiple games in one. You can also choose the order you play each stage, with more to unlock each time you clear the game! The graphics might look bad in screenshots, but they look much better in motion, it's impressive how they got such simplistic 3D character models but made them look really good. The only issue I have with the game is that none of the characters besides Cotton have any unique story cutscenes, which is a shame because I want to know what the heck is up with the Sanvein and Psyvariar characters, I want to know what happened to Appli after Cotton 2, and I want to know more about Umihara Kawase and that other girl Luffie (I wish I knew japanese so I could play the game she came from). It seems like each character has unique voice lines during gameplay, but they're in Japanese with no subs, so whatever they're talking about will remain a mystery... If you love STG, GET THIS GAME. It's so good I not only got the Collector's Edition for the switch with the teacup and nendoroid, I also went and double dipped with the steam release.

ふらっと立ち寄ったゲーセンで見かけて以来、イラストに惹かれてプレイしていましたが Steam版がある事を知りいざ購入。 横シューはほぼ未経験でしたがスコア稼ぎやノーコンクリアを目指すなど様々な楽しみ方が出来て最高です。 あとコットンが可愛いです。LOVE。

Purchased the collectors edition for switch as well so have many more hours on that version. This is a great entry to the Cotton series, has a bunch of different characters to choose from, a very fitting Cotton story line, and a ton of secret levels that are references to other games including old cotton games. Overall this is an amazing cute em up for anyone that is a fan of shoot em ups/ cute em ups or cotton in general.

やはり､COTTONは可愛く、今回は妖精シルクとのかけあいも強化されていて一見の価値あり。 ただし、展開は今までの COTTONシリーズと似たような感じではあるが…。 シューティングゲームとしては、比較的プレイしやすく設計されており、コンティニューでも最強で復活など クリアさせてあげようという親切な配慮が大変うれしい。とりあえず苦手な人でもEDまで見れるの満足だ。 複数のキャラが選択できるので、なんらかストーリーに絡んでくれればより面白いのだが…まぁ満足です。 どちらかといえば、プレイしているとしょっちゅうクラッシュする。C++ラインタイムエラーになってたりして 初回プレイでEDまで進められたのが奇跡なのではないかと疑うレベル。ほかのキャラを使ってクリアを目指すも なぜか常に途中でクラッシュするし、セーブもないので最初からやりなおしなので全然EDまで進まない。 せっかくの良作なので、評価は下げませんが、なんとかならんだろうか。

得点アイテムが画面を埋め尽くすタイプの色んな意味でゆるーいSTG。 せっかくの地形に戦略性が少なく避けるだけのタイプが多いのは少し残念。 EDは王道でしたが笑いました。
