Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played this game years ago on my uncle's PlayStation, but never gotten past the first town since he didn't get the full game until years later. When I got this on my laptop, it brought back memories from when I was younger.
It’s one of the classics among indie games, and I can see why: it’s cute and light-hearted with a simple turn-based battle system, but with enough variety in skills and power-ups to keep it entertaining, Double Fine's seal of quality. It works perfectly on the Deck, which makes it ideal for playing in short sessions. Of course, it’s much better to play it at Halloween season.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Still the best Halloween game. Trick or Treat RPG: an under-appreciated genre.
This game is definitely a fun time, especially if you like RPGs. A must play on Halloween, Christmas, or any other festive holiday, especially if you want the achievement.
First time playing this game, it's good. Dialogue is fun even as an adult. Combat is easy to grasp but provides challenges too. The only thing I wished it had was different dialogue based on which sibling you choose. There's no replay value for the casual player since there's no changes.
Крохотная миленькая пошаговая РПГшка. Есть свой шарм, но на деле ничего особенного. Можно бездумно поиграть и пройти за пару вечеров, а через месяц благополучно забыть.
I have no idea what the fine folks at Double Fine have been up to since their time now being owned directly by Microsoft (did anyone play that Vase game?) but Costume Quest, despite its age is SUCH a fun game. Like actually this is a sorta cult classic kind of title that I think would do AMAZING if it were to be Remade/Remastered for modern consoles/PC (personally I think a LOT of Double Fine's games should be remastered since I think they would do so well with graphical updates and modern gameplay tweaks) but this game is so fun and the concepts are so simple yet cool that I think a new wave of kids need to experience this title especially in a time where kids don't really get to trick or treat like they used to.
A decent Halloween game. Easy to play and understand, and cute art style and story. Only really fun to play if you're in the Halloween spirit.
14/20 - Assez bon.
I grew up with the Costume Quest games and frankly, I love revisiting them even now. DF made a huge impression on me with these games, and I can't thank them enough.
