I had fun with this. Upgrade your ship and fight thousands of "cute" Aliens until the screen explodes. No frame rate issues for me. A lot going on. Many weapons and items to try out. Survive Space!
I had some issues when game launched, but finally playing without an issue since the last update! It s one of the rare fun rogue games.
Fun to zip and zoop around! The enemies have very satisfying visual and audio design, and I enjoyed discovering the different weapons/playstyles. I had some minor visual bugs and one crash when starting a new run (not a big deal), and was impressed that I hardly noticed any framerate issues when there are hordes of enemies and my weapons are all blasting off. I liked the family members chatting and encouraging you: I thought it'd bother me that their messages cover part of the screen, but it wasn't an issue at all!
Short: Space Vampire Survivor I like the different alien chars and look forward to unlocking them ~ If you like scifi, rougelike and shooting this game is for you. Kill your enemies and grab the loot - become better in killing and get moooore loot for even moooore killing!
I'm older, and it takes something special to pull me into a game. I was hooked on the beta's graphics early on so this was an instant purchase for me. I haven't regretted a cent. Procedural generation has been around for a while, but Cosmic Run uses it well. The roster of playable aliens has different playstyles at heart. The starting alien feels a bit safe, but I'm on the verge of unlocking Zorina. With her spinning ring of drones and increased health regen, she seems great for buzzing crowds and getting away quickly. I'd probably also give her the longer-distance ricochet sled powerup so she can tear into the crowds on approach. As others have noted, there were a lot of crashes at release, but the most recent update seems to have sorted that out for me. The only thing stopping me now is my own skill level. As my first space roguelite, I give this a thumbs up if you want something with visual flair and fun, quick romps.
I absolutely love this game but am becoming frustrated with the constant crashing and locking up with every run. Im not giving up! I'm positive whatever the problem is it will get patched soon!
Not much to this game. It is quite basic and there isn't too much to explore. The meta progression is very minimal and within the 2hrs I've played I have unlocked all the characters and beat 2 out of 3 of the zones. Not sure if there is anything else that will be added to it at all or not, but I surely wouldn't pay full price for a game with as little content as this. I got it 50% off and I still feel like that was a bit of a ripoff. I may change this review if something more shows up down the line, but as of right now it is hard to recommend to anyone when you can get many more games with some real content and gameplay value for the price.
Naja das game ist eig ganz gut und hat potenzial... aber immer nach ca.8 Minuten Crasht das Spiel... daher Refund. Schade....
Cosmic Run grabbed me from the first launch with a simplicity that hides real depth. On the surface it looks like a fast arcade runner through space tunnels, but after a few levels I realised the level design and pacing are carefully honed. The visuals are colorful and stylized—not photorealistic, but a visual language that works perfectly for speed and readability. Neon colors and high-contrast effects give each run tension, and when everything speeds up it’s always clear what matters: obstacles, power-ups and the racing line. The music and sound design are possibly the game’s strongest assets. The soundtrack is dynamic, electronic, and complements the sense of hurtling through space. The music’s tempo often matches level rhythm, so you quickly slip into a flow state and begin reacting almost instinctively. Audio cues for near-misses and pickups are clear and useful, without excessive clutter that would distract. Controls are precise and responsive—which is crucial for this genre. After a quick sensitivity tweak I felt complete control of the ship. Difficulty is well balanced: early levels introduce mechanics, middle sections test precision and reflexes, and later stages demand pattern memorisation and patience. Still, the game rarely feels unfair thanks to a fair checkpoint system and enough progression opportunities. The campaign length isn’t excessive, which works in its favor—each level is designed to be intense and replayable. Replay value is high thanks to leaderboards, challenges and collectables. If you enjoy improving your times and chasing perfect runs, you’ll spend a lot of time returning to the same maps. Regarding bugs, my experience was solid—minor visual artifacts and occasional frame dips occurred on older hardware, but nothing game-breaking. More performance options would help players with weaker machines. Compared to other fast arcade titles (I thought of rhythm-runners like Thumper and stylised runners like Runner3), Cosmic Run combines simplicity and challenge without feeling hollow. It isn’t revolutionary, but it does almost everything it promises—and does it well.
Game just crashes, no messages, if a run goes more then about 5 minutes. Really disappointed, the demo ran great and was really excited to play the full release. Refunding.
