Я поставил себе две амбициозные цели: постепенно купить все игры от издателя Devolver Digital, и пройти все игры от издателя Devolver Digital. Зачем мне всё это? Просто я обожаю игры от этого издателя. Они находят талантливых людей с безумными идеями и помогают реализовать их. По скриншотам вообще не ясно, что это за игра. А на деле это сюжетный симулятор диджея. Нам на выбор дают инструменты, а мы с помощью 4 кнопок задаём темп. Там ещё есть потная штука с кучей кнопок, чтобы менять сам звук, но это уже слишком сложно для меня. Я же хочу поведать об игре со своей точки зрения. У меня нет музыкального слуха и я ничего не понимаю в музыке. Я просто тыкаю кнопки и из этого комбинируется мелодия. Почти всегда у меня получалась какофония, но игра всеми силами старается привести это к нормальному звучанию. После моих нелепых кликаний она всегда хвалит меня, какой я молодец, какой я оригинальный. Полученный трек можно облагородить обложкой, которую создаём мы сами с хорошим инструментарием. Даже можно сохранить на свой компьютер полученный "шедевр"! Проходится игра очень быстро и можно дальше самому побаловаться вне сюжетки. Сюжет же тут простенький и не нагружающий. Мы помогаем людям побороть скуку и тоску с помощью СИЛЫ МУЗЫКИ. Всего здесь 5 уровней, каждый со своим визуалом и эффектами. Выглядит игра, ну скажем честно, как сон наркомана. Всюду странные эффекты и персонажи. В целом же, это весело и мне понравилось. Как вы понимаете, вся суть здесь строится на музыке. Игра пытается показать нам, что каждый может творить музыку, каким бы рукожопом он ни был. Я всё так же остался рукожопом, но мне приятно было создавать иллюзию того, что я талантливый. А если вы реально талантливые, то сможете сотворить шедевр на все времена. В итоге хочу сказать, что игра необычная и прикольная. Стоит недорого, проходится быстро. Дарит необычный игровой опыт и поднимает настроение. Обязательно попробуйте! Devolver Digital фигни не издают, запомните это. Плюсы: - забавный визуал - можно почувствовать себя талантливым диджеем - можно сохранить свой шедевр на компьютере - хорошая музыка - непродолжительная - необычный игровой опыт

For a long time I wasn't sure how to rate Cosmic DJ, to cut a long story short because I have other things to do ;) It was close but okay thumbs up, even if the game is not my cup of tea and it just wasn't fun, although into goofy things and everything with sound and music has my attention, but for me there was and is simply no reason to continue playing this game, so in terms of points a 5 out of 10. If you want to go on a crazy musical excursion like on magic mushrooms and don't have high demands on the music and about DJing, you can give it a try, that's all I can say about it :D Edit (04/12/2025) For a workshop, I revisited Cosmic DJ and reflected on why I almost gave it a thumbs down. The music system feels quite shallow, which may disappoint players seeking more complex features. Additionally, the game is very short, though the low price makes that easier to forgive, but it doesn’t offer much replay value. I also wasn’t thrilled by the frequent graphical glitches, occasional audio dropouts, and other distracting flaws. On top of that, the dialogue felt pretty awkward and cringy at times. But also decided to keep my original rating, though it was a close call again. And that’s all I’ve got to say! :D

I freakin' love this game. It's basically a music sequencer with a story mode attached to it and I'm all about that. It's short but fun, and the (admittedly limited) gameplay is pretty unique and really stands out among all the games I've played. The songs it makes are decently interesting too, and the best part is I'd say anyone can play this and have fun, whether you already are into this kind of stuff or you're completely new to making music. 100% recommend, the only thing I'd say you should know before buying is that it's pretty short and there's no way to "lose" so it's not challenging or anything. If you go in with the expectation that this is just a fun way to waste a few hours and make some random music while you listen to a completely over-the-top story, then I think you'll enjoy yourself and find it's well worth the three bucks you spent.

I realize now that the JAM is the true source of joy in the cosmos.

I played this a while ago and absolutely adored it. It's a simple music/rhythm game with a few awesome beats (some of which you can create of your own!).

Short but fun, would recommend if you can afford to pay for a game that won't last long but will make you experience the joy of music.
