Coral Island

Peak farming game. Updates make you want to come back. They really add a lot of content with each one. worth sinking your time in.

I can safely say that this game is very addictive. I played this game for more than 200hrs and i can say this game is one of my fav game so far. the UI is very pretty and cinematic, also the devs are Indonesian!! i am 100% supporting my fella game dev to shine!

my potato laptop chugs normally, so the fact Coral Island runs *normally* is incredibly impressive. jokes aside, i know a lot of people don't love the grinding, but that's kind of part of the beauty of the whole farming sim adj. game. it makes the end all the more satisfying. its the fruits of your labor, in all that. Coral Island is like if Stardew had more depth, more implications that your actions hold weight in the world, and that's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool man.

A very good farming sim, I'd say it's the best one out there now, and with its new 1.3 update, it has finally brought out everything it needed to standout from every other one and have a complete experiencie of what coral island could deliver.

I can't recommend this game enough. I've tried probably dozens of farming sims and this one scratches the itch the best. If you like Stardew, you will LOVE Coral Island. Firstly, the farming mechs! There are tons of seeds and trees to plant and unlock as you grow your town rank. You unlock new items to help eventually make farming a breeze and less of an energy drain. There are also a bunch of animals to raise and process their goods, and then continue to process in aging barrels/in recipes for more money! Tbh after my first year, I had way more money than I knew what to do with! My favorite part of Coral Island is actually how easy it is to rearrange your farm. You eventually unlock an item that lets you reorganize everything (with the exception of buildings) for a small cost. It makes planning and trying out new layouts easier than other farm sim games. Secondly, there are a A LOT of NPCs to interact with. At some point you'll feel like there are tons of cutscenes as you level up your relationships with them, but I love having more to do than less. They all have their unique personalities and have a loveable charm about them. Coral Island also has my favorite kind of 3d art style. The island is beautiful, colorful, and aesthetically pleasing. There's also lots of customization for your house, farms, and your character as well. Finally, the biggest draw here, there is SO much to do between completing the goddess offerings, guardian mural, town attractions, museum, and underwater offerings too. They're not even done updating the game! You truly will not run out of things to do for a VERY long time. There is not a single "dead" day where you're left wondering what to do next. You WILL have something to do and even wish for more time in the day for at least the first 2 years consistently. I will, however, say the one downside is the *writing* for the romance. Romance is a long path and the devs clearly put a lot of time into the mechanics of it. I like gameplay of it for sure, but I think specifically writing for the cutscenes and especially for the date scenes feels a bit shallow and fragmented. Tbh, I don't know why these characters are so in love with my farmer by how little my farmer actually contributes to their growth LOL. As for the writing for non-romanceables, some characters show more growth than others, but a few of them a real gems and are super interesting. If you like this genre, you absolutely need this game!

Absolutely love this game, it is such a cozy farming game. There is so much to do in this game. Highly recommend!
