This game is so hyper realistic at simulating cooking that when I crack an egg on my pc it burns to crisp immediately

I can't really review a cooking sim badly for being a... cooking simulator, I guess I expected more guidance? But theres plenty of instructions, you literally follow step by step recipies, I really enjoyed the baking DLC, mostly cause it was harder to fail at
Before you buy this game, check the completion status for most achievements in this game. That will tell you more than I can ever tell you about it, the game gets tiring after 5 hours, and there is a reason for that. The game is just way too realistic on too many things, like a recipe says cut potatos into chunks, and you are there being like what is chunks, and if that isn't enough, they also need to have a specific weight to them, how am I to know how much is 10 grams, I can calculate that if a potato is 150 grams I will need to get 15 cuts of it for them to be approximately 10 grams each, but there is no way to tell. At least the clients don't seem to care much about that. Yet there are many things in this game like that, to the point that I just refused to have any dishes in the menu that required me to cut potatoes, if there is an easy way to do so, I do not know said way. Also look at my playtime, 12 hours total, that is within over 5 years. The only thing ever bringing me back is nostalgia or a funny Markiplier video, yet I always end up getting bored super fast. Not recommended. PS: I like the pizza DLC yet I don't remember buying it, was it given for free at some point?
Cooking Simulator is a very good game for Campaign players and it offers a really good experience. As for sandbox mode, MASTERPIECE. If you really don't like slow campaign and gradual unlocks, sandbox will keep you satisfied. Also has a nice variety of DLC, and it sometimes can feel like a completely different game. I do only recommend the Pizza DLC, as it is the best one. The other ones are fun too and not to pricey. Good game!
I launch the game and my controller cannot navigate the menu. I need to use a mouse on my TV to start playing. Ok ok maybe it gets better. Walking is really erratic and aiming to click on ingredients is a nightmare. Ok maybe it gets better. When plating the salmon in the tutorial, the plate spasms like a Garry's Mod asset and flings across the room at 100kmph, smashing plate everywhere. Ok that was pretty funny, but now I have to carefully aim to pick up shards of glass which isn't funny. Ok maybe it gets better. The tutorial ends and I realise I am expected to actually remember each recipe in my mind perfectly with no directions on screen. It didn't get better. Maybe this is fun with keyboard and mouse, but I can only play with controller due to disability. So I cannot recommend this, because it's just extremely frustrating.
When I'm trying to lift up the spatula or rotate it, everything froze and I can't interact with anything. Press any key possible but still no use. Game is all fun though and as I was continue playing, game seems like got interesting up for a moment and yeah game crash... wholesome game btw I've always wanted this game.
Gordon Ramsay would have a heart attack
10/10 Kitchen Terrorism Simulator. I bought this game to learn how to cook, but instead, I learned how to commit arson with a virtual trout.

The physics engine in this game is an absolute masterpiece of comedy. Cutting a tomato feels like trying to perform open-heart surgery with a chainsaw. Half the time, the ingredients clip through the floor or launch themselves into orbit because I placed a plate down slightly too aggressively.
My greatest culinary achievements so far:
* The Grenade Method: Exploding a gas cylinder because I forgot how timers work, completely leveling the kitchen. * Floor Spice: Serving a 5-star soup that was 40% liquid and 60% ingredients I swept off the dirty floor tiles. * Fire Fighter: Spending more time using the fire extinguisher than actual cooking utensils.

Verdict: If you want a realistic cooking guide, go watch YouTube. If you want to burn down a commercial kitchen because a virtual cutting board defied the laws of gravity, buy this immediately.
The inspectors are coming, hide the soup.
