Art style is beautiful, graphics and visuals are great. But the gameplay is very boring, very simple in a bad way. Recipes and cooking are really not the forte of this cooking game. I'm glad I got it on sale, so it's not a massive loss. Still disapointing.

this game is very cute and cozy feeling but i have to be frank and say it is soooo bland. the story needs some work for the price the game is 4/10

It was a cute cooking game with a lovely art style. I like how the meaning of food was presented. However, it got a little repetitive and the story was a bit lack lustre.

$16 dollars for what is essentially a handful of recipes repeated over and over? All I'll say is it's fortunate that it's so short so I can get my money back.

Tell me your Story was a varied game with multiple mini-games and unclear instructions sometimes. Cook For Love focuses exclusively on cooking while keeping track of the story. The beautiful art is retained and there is hardly any confusion on what you’re supposed to do. You get asked to prepare something and you get the recipes to follow every step. While the story doesn’t really have a big plot and I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s impressive, it is about happy vibes and appreciating relationships or smaller things in life. The controls are simple to execute with a mouse and the steps are kept easy. The more recipes you complete, the better your title becomes and you will be able to prepare more dishes. There are 2 things that make me pause, the structure of the gameplay and the price. I’m totally in for keeping things simple and casual, but there could have been a more interesting structure than letting you make the same recipe 4 times straight aside from one ingredient being different before moving on to the next recipe. It felt a bit like padding. On that note, the price of around €15 also surprises me due to what I mentioned and taking no more than 2.5 hours to complete the game along with getting all the achievements. The previous game (by the same developer) costs around €8, this would have been far more appropriate for Cooking for Love considering what you’re getting out of it. I could always use a relaxing and/or cozy game between more challenging games and this one fits the bill. I had fun and I can recommend it for that purpose. But not for the price they’re asking, €5 max is how far I’d go and even then I can imagine people arguing with that if they’re not charmed enough by the art and casual vibes. Those are the main selling points of the game really.

Cook For Love to zdecydowanie nie jest typowa przygodówka, nie jest to klasyczne point-and-click, choć sama rozgrywka w takim stylu jest poprowadzona. To raczej niszowa zabawa dla graczy, którzy chcąc się zrelaksować i pobawić w kucharza, a może nawet nauczyć się czegoś w kuchni, poznać kilka przepisów. Nie wymagająca specjalnych umiejętności kucharskich gra kulinarna, bo tak ją można nazwać, może być ciekawą odskocznią od codziennych obowiązków, czy obecnie przedświątecznego szaleństwa. Miła dla oka grafika, lekka i pogodna ścieżka dźwiękowa, stopniowanie trudności rozgrywki i ogólna satysfakcja z udanego przepisu, może sprawić, że chcemy z grą pozostać na dłużej, odtwarzając przepis za przepisem, danie za daniem. Niestety martwi mnie, że polska gra nie posiada rodzimej lokalizacji, nie dając szansy graczom, którzy albo nie znają języka, albo zwyczajnie wolą grać po polsku. Szkoda, wielka szkoda, że twórcy nie pokusili się o jej polonizację, która zdecydowanie podniosłaby satysfakcję z rozgrywki. A tak nieco w moich oczach traci.
