I didn't play the tutorial, so take this with a grain of salt: Damn homie, this game is ***
I like it. Fun to solo on easy. Being able to shoot things makes it less boring than most in this genre. I think 2-3 people on the higher difficulties would be the sweet spot. A better guide for the items and process of using them would be better. Like an in game containment guide. Has unlocks, side-missions, and secrets within each level. Worth the $10. No regrets whatsoever. Core loop: Shoot enemies, find items, turn items in, get $, locate anomaly use items to determine ghost type. Return, buy upgrades and swag, start new mission. Good example of an independent game. Priced Appropriately, fun, and its own thing.
Absolute value for money with tons to do in large maps, this game provides a fun co-op experience. Lich and Lily did an excellent job creating an eerie atmosphere with (I'm assuming) Lily, nonchalantly and cheerily cheering you on through your objectives while a variety of paranormal creatures try to kill you.
Gunplay is alright, the sights jiggle around a little too much when you aim down them while backpedaling, like your character has palsy or extremely weak arms or something. I stick to hip firing. The discovery and identification of anomalies (your main objective that pays you) is almost exactly like Phasmophobia, with a few of the evidence types missing. Exploring the maps for side objectives, jumpscares, and ghosts is a good addition. Movement is a little strange. Not necessarily clunky, but there's some kind of responsiveness missing from it I guess. Enemy AI run a little too cleanly and computer-like around corners. They behave more like homing missiles than a humanoid with weight attempting to change direction around a corner to run at you. At the moment, there is not much opportunity for customization. The SMG is the only customizable gun in the gun store. And there are like 4 guns that you can buy beyond the basic pistol. Hopefully more is added as time goes on. The gear store is alright too, but a little sparse. I think there aren't more than 20 items you can buy from the gear store. And some of those are basics like health kits, sanity pills, and ammo. There is currently no matchmaking feature. All servers are by invite only. The servers, in terms of connectivity and smoothness, run just fine. I have yet to drop a game or lose a connection. Unless your friend is on the other side of earth, it doesn't seem to have a desync or lag issue either. It's fun, though. If you're willing to support something rough that has a lot of potential (Phasmophobia with guns, jumpscares and zombies basically), then it's worth a buy. Don't expect something with tons of features and content yet though. It's definitely an early work at the moment. The last update on the store page, as of this review, is 5 months ago in March. Be wary, the dev could leave this at any time.
This game got a lot going on. Open-world, phasmo-like, extraction, zombie apocalypse, character/gun customization, looter-shooter, ghost/anomaly investigation, etc. It just ticks all the boxes for me and I absolutely love it. We need more games like this. 10/10
One of the best games i have played in a long time, pls keep this game online and updated, i will not stop playing it.
simply incredible, only complaint is that i lost all my progress and access to my first 100 skins after uninstalling the game (no steam cloud issues im sure) and the UI doesnt seem to fit on screen (overflows on the left for me) and with no resolution settings makes it difficult to work around, but overall very fun and ominous
ngl its pretty cool its if phasmophobia meets scp meets backrooms id give it 10/10 for good ragdoll physics
Amazing game with a ton of promise. The only suggestion I would give is to allow a player's body to be recovered if they fail the jump level, ie send their body back to the truck.
Very rough at the moment, and performance leaves a lot to be desired. I guess that's what it meant by "inspired by STALKER" I actually had a ton of fun with the brief experience this is. Every multiplayer game would be better if it was Left 4 Dead, and this game understands that. Phasmophobia is fun if its Left 4 Dead and Containment Corp is proof of that. Coming from a long term phasmo hater. This is a solid idea with a healthy balance of serious and silly, and I really REALLY hope it gets the love and attention it deserves.
