The game is EARLY ACCESS. The tutorial is... eeeh. But, BUT there IS A GAME HERE. It's janky, but it WORKS. There is CONTENT in the game (That sometimes requires you to fumble around trying to find the precise spot where you can interact with it) but it's THERE. At the moment, I'm giving it a thumbs up because it's a good effort so far as I'm able to build automated miners. Smelting is a bit of a pain but since I can SEE the OPERATIONAL tech tree WORKS then I don't care if I've got to fiddle with it as long as I get to build more stuff later on.
ConstructEx you start with nothing gather resources to make tools build workbench machines research technologies new for different machines a decent game by a single developer look forward to see more content

Excellent game, still in EA so there is somethings to figure out. Tons of automation, building, crafting. Plenty of power sources to try out as you advance through the research. I find myself playing for hours trying different things out. Now the latest update EA 1.6 is out and there is more to do. This game is worth the money and as this Dev is very active with fixes and updates I'm sure the cost will rise. Update: I haven`t played this game for several months, came back to check on it and with update 2.0 its very quite on here. Still fatal errors crashing the game.
Its early access so still growing but I really like it. Its a peaceful game, bit clunky as the active developer fixes some designs and adds new content but I am still playing it daily and changing how I build things. You start off with the normal hand tools then increase to water or wind powered automation, all the time building something you need to complete a piece of research to expand to more technology, electricity and more complex machines. Whilst it is similar to most automation games, I like it because its not too complex, personally loved satisfactory but making some of the very complex parts just for the elevator to advance did annoy me a bit, maybe this will get close but I dont think that is the desire, single dev so unless something huge happens I doubt its the aim nor do I care, I like this because its not a space game and its peaceful. At the moment the maximum mix is 3 parts, some of those parts do take other parts with two parts which need ore refined, crushed and hammered into one part, but you get the picture, you dont need gigafactories 20 floors high to play it. Map is big enough with room for the dev to expand current zones and add resources, you do need a car to get around once you get to the desert zone for oil and sand, its too far to walk. I recommend, as I said its early access and one dev but its reasonably priced there is enough, ive done about 30 hours and researched everything currently available so am now rebuilding my factories from where they start out as machines you just fill by hand to more automated systems with conveyors, splitters mergers and storage, its time to make it neater and I have improved building materials. Moving my power grid from Coal to Wind building some big wind farms away from my base and setting up power grids to more automation near the resource nodes, so enough there with updates added frequently enough, obviously you want more big updates faster but if you can just settle for what the developer is doing you will enjoy it, if you want it to developed faster and complain about it in discussions maybe stay away from it, or at least buy it as an investor in these type of developers and keep away from the discussions because it is what it is and isnt pretending to be anything else.
After playing for a while, I can say this game has real potential. Some of the game mechanics are unlike anything I’ve seen before. There are certainly aspects that need improvement, but considering it's developed by a single person, it’s a highly enjoyable experience. The game emphasizes strategic thinking, which is crucial to its appeal. I would recommend it, and future updates will only make it better.
This game, while still early access, has a lot of potential. My hat off to any single person/developer producing something of this calibre. While things may be buggy at times, the dev is making a genuine effort to squash them all and give us a enjoyable experience. My one piece of advise, report any issues you find, so the dev can keep improving our experience.
Great game. Give it a try you will enjoy it.
