I understand that this is intended as a demonstration yet it doesn't seem appropriate to charge for something that is just 10-min. This time included both the intro and the "movie", which is just a fight scene shown in different viewpoints -- mostly high resolution, though some parts were blurry. Interesting, but not worth paying for in my opinion. There is no story. I also found the scene a bit choppy. My computer has a i7-1300k with 32GB of DRAM and the NVIDA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card. There is no reason why there should have been any display issues.

This is how I want to see VR content! This is a whole different level with the hyper realism and 6dof freedom. Sure, it still has some limitations, but if this is just the beginning, I can only imagine what the future will bring. You could watch the same clip multiple times and it be like a different movie each time depending on where you decide to focus. There are some parts I felt the forced perspective threw me off, but being able to watch in 3D from any direction and still move around, just amazing. I have an i9-9900k, 2080Ti, 32GB DDR4 RAM (6 year old hardware) and a WD Black SN850 for my main drive, playing Quest 3 over VD through Steam VR and the only time I saw a split second of buffering was in the intro when it change to the forest scene. There was some odd flickering on the roof of one scene, I assume was like a stitch like glitch or something. You can tell some of the compression, but it still looks better than regular 3D 360 content simply for the volumetric part of it. I'd love to see a longer movie in this format.
its a really great concept and look forward to more immersive movies, this one was a little short at around 8 minutes
Quick 10 minute demo of a VR movie experience. Weirdly stuttery unless installed on ssd. Very large 30GB install. Watched it on a PSVR2. The animations and models are really well done. I think volumetric VR for a movie is difficult to pull off, especially in an action movie due to the amount cuts, repositioning of the camera, different angles, and different zooms that directors use to accentuate and focus on the beats and choreography of the action. While I think this demo succeeds for the most part, ultimately you end up just passively staying in one spot, due to the camera moving constantly without your control. You end up watching it like a regular movie, that just moves all around you. It is super immersive, but a lot of expensive work and compute to add the ability to move your head around inside of the space, ruining the director's intentional camera positioning, or getting sick when the scene forces you into a different perspective against your will. This is a really good effort that I enjoyed though. It had some really nice forced perspective shots that reminded me of "camera inside a sink kind of stuff" from things like Breaking Bad, or some older Jackie Chan movies. However, I think something like "The Great C" does a little bit of a better job from a directorial standpoint of using the VR medium, where that story and director allowed for wide lens shots, slower fades and pans, and longer scenes before transition. It allowed for enough visually interesting direction, without also being boring like a potted plant perspective like "Allumette VR". There was time for the viewer to look around the environment and take in the scenery. It's a different genre of film though.
Dla mnie rewelacja. 8 minutowe video ktore pozwala wkroczenie w trojwymiarowa przestrzen filmu.
Looking at a movie that is pre-rendered offline, like a blockbuster movie such as Avatar, is the future of entertainment. Realtime engines can obtain nice graphical details but...nothing compares to an off-line raytraced scene. Consider that a SINGLE FRAME in a movie like Avatar requires 1 to 7hrs of rendering time... not exactly that millisecond that Unreal5 or Unity can dedicate to render it in real time. Therefore - with the right cinematic content - this format is a transformation for the movie industry. Stepping into an Hollywood-grade film and move, live inside, in full 6 degrees of freedom and at the maximum framerate allowed by your headset! It's simply amazing. Excellent innovation.
