[h2]Warning - Asset Flip![/h2] "Connect the Dots 3D" is a simple connect-the-dots game - and also an asset flip of [url=https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/templates/systems/j-connect-kit-118731]J Connect Kit[/url] by Jun. No modification has been done to the template, not even Steamworks integration. There are no options besides sound on/off and the exit button doesn't work. No surprise, it's a template for a mobile game. The options also don't save. Granted, the asset is pretty good and looks quite fancy, but without modification the levels are almost always the same so the game is far too easy. As there are 200 levels included it's probably okay for $0.99 but at the same time it's still a lazy asset flip by serial flipper "beans rolls". The game was offered on bundle sites weeks ahead of it's actual release which speaks volumes about "beans rolls" ethics. Please don't support him by buying this. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "J Connect Kit" is just a simple isometric minimalist mobile app node traversal puzzle template, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from beans rolls/Simple Logic Games.
