The joys of source engine movement mechanics now in unity! This game shows the best parts of the iconic Team Fortress Classic. It includes conc, quad rocket jumping, bhop, and even steals some of the sounds! The real selling points of this game though have to be the wacky moving shadow of the player model and the powerful explosion particle effect from the rocket. Really the only thing holding this game back is the devastating bug of achievements not unlocking. After a taxing 3 hours to beat all the levels none of the achievements unlocked. Additionally, quite a few levels have cheats, but I like to think of them as speedrun strats. If you have 5 dollars just burning a hole in your pocket, and you need to play a budget source game, this is the game for you. Or you could just play Momentum Mod.
Conc jump is a wonderful skill based source mechanic video game. I played this game with legendary source mechanic players such as Zike1017, and Newjuls, and we all came to the conclusion that this game is the paramount source movement mechanic trainer. Despite the stolen tfc assets, and the numerous ways to cheat levels, this game truly delivers. I mean come on, look at that explosion animation! dont forget the fortnite shadow that tracks in real time! never before will you have fun locking your fps to 90 while bhopping, concing, and quad rocket jumping! The game even uses the time old SuperChuck™ strat of using different levels over again for different mechanics! very innovative! Make sure to not rocket jump too high though, or you may just fall out of the map and have your game crash... Overall, if you want to spent 5 dollars to play a budget source movement mechanic game, this is the game for you ! P.S.: Despite beating all of the 10 bunnyhop and 50 rocket jump levels, I did not get the achievements for doing so (epic!)
listen I wasn't about to let a 5$ game filter me, I went back for the remaining campaign. Achievements are broken, dev is a really cool dude I'll bet.
One day I thought 'wow wouldn't it be cool if there was a game based entirely around rocket jumping, like tf2 jump maps but it is it's very own game with more features' And I searched around and found this seemed to be my only option. I wanted to finish the rocket jump course before reviewing this but I do not have the time to beat that very last level. Maybe I'm dumb but the bunnyhop and conc courses did not make sense to me, but the rocket jumping was fun enough despite it being a little clunky compared to tf2. There was one annoying thing (not sure if it was a bug or feature) where some regular white walls act like the floor you're not meant to touch and can send you back to the start when you should have beaten the level. Being aware of and avoiding said walls is easy enough but they shouldn't be there to begin with. Shortly after starting this game I learnt about momentum mod, which seems to be exactly what I initially wanted to play in the first place so I would recommend to just wait for that over getting this. Conc Jump is fun enough but not worth the price, at least if you're only interested in rocket jumping.
Needs an option to invert the y-axis on the mouse. Otherwise, it looks promising. I'll try again after a future update. Seems fun though.
