It's a decent management game, but it seems to have gotten harder than when I first tried it. On the lowest difficulty setting, you cannot get off the ground with your own creations, you have to use franchises. It still needs a lot of polishing too, the most annoying bug is when you load a save, it re-sets the publishing/printing contract to the one you started with, so you gotta re-negotiate the contract (and pay a signing bonus) every time you start. It also crashes on me a lot. It didn't at first, but something is making it worse over time. I had it loaded on 3 different computers, and they all did the same thing... the longer the same game goes on, the more prone it is to crashing. Start a new game, and it works fine for a while. Which brings up another point, no cloud saves! Which means if you play the game on a different device, you have to start all over again. It could use some more features too, like a simple spreadsheet to show who's working on what. When you open an employee's window too, it should show which comics they are currently working on. Overall though, I have fun playing it. You need to pour a ton of money into recruiting in order to get good staff, and when you do, pay attention to the target audience. Even if you get a good artist numbers, if they don't appeal to your audience, they're not going to be well-received. Re-review: I keep trying to play it, because I want to love this game. But I can't because it still crashes constantly... I now have it installed on 4 different computers, including a Brand new laptop with a RTX4070, and it crashes on every one of them after a few minutes. They fixed the publisher bug, but now the company size is doing the same thing, it re-sets every session. There have been improvements, but they make me feel like I'm paying to be a Beta tester. By releasing a game that is NOT READY, you're kinda cheating the customer.
I can not recommend this game for now. On the very beginning, you MUST create a comic after a comic. You usually don't have a time to make enough comics in time before you go bankrupt. Especially, when someone has only one hand :D That balance patch made it probably worse before it was. I don't want any money back as I trust this enough, that might be a great project, worth of waiting. Dev, if you need any help, reach out to me. //EDIT: It is getting better and better. Just few days after the sale and I feel like I am making the game! Great job DEV! Info for everyone else out there: I would recommend to buy this game as the Dev is working on it day by day. Your input will be most appreciate.as you will be heard out! Let's buy it, create a great community and support Dev! If players dies, the game as well. Don't be so wasteful! //UPDATE 2024 Unfortunatelly, there are no more updates form Dev since Sep23 and this is a dead project. It was a good try though.
This game saved my life.I am 27.My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and adopted our son together. They are now both 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I found myself lost and miserable. I was self destructive. I got so mad one day from everything spiraling out of my control that I punched some concrete in a moment of overwhelming emotion. That caused me to break my 5th metacarpal in my right hand... my working hand... my games hand.. the hand that I held and carried my children to bed with.. The hand I desperately needed to make sure I could continue to provide. After learning of the severity of my self-inflicted damage, I was borderline suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man with no history of depression or anxiety. I have never had fits of rage, or been one to break down and cry, but I was in a low spot that just really buried me from being able to see the light on the other side.Having nothing better to do, I searched for a game I could play, ONE HANDED while I recovered. I somehow stumbled upon this game and read some of the reviews. I decided that it had to be worth a shot... I must admit, I didn't beat the game, or play nearly as long as some of you. In fact, I may have only played this game a day or two.. With that being said, after doing so, I had a new found joy and hope for life. I was able to put behind me the pain and suffering that had been cast over me. I was able to experience other peoples joy and happiness. I was able to see the fruits of my "labor". I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ing minutes to this music long enough to realize that I was going to be okay. After coming to that realization, I turned the game off, and I went back to work. It hurt my hand like hell but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so damn sorry for myself, and I became the father I needed to be in that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving as.Today, I am close friend with my kids mother. We don't fight, or argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents, and friends.I now have 3 kids. My third child is, wait for it, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my own separation, and we just stumbled in to each others life unexpectedly. We have been in a relationship for a year now, and are very happy together.Moral of the story, you never know what life holds in store for you, and if I would have given up when all the odds were stacked against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.Thank you
At the time being you can only hire employees to "create comics," just to guess what the sliders mean from reviews trying to find a sweet spot. It works. It's just barebones. Edit: But lots of updates.
It's REALLY clunky right now, but the idea is awesome and I can just tell it's gonna be great in the future.
Got rich selling Dracula Hentai 10/10
I bought this game partially because I want to see more from this dev, possibly a sequel of this game in the future— and partially because the game has a strong premise. It's a little rough around the edges (many bugs), a lot of the core systems are bare bones. However, it makes up for it with an abundance of systems. There is a strong foundation here, and I hope to this improved on, if there is any sequel.
I really like the idea and the logic of the game. It needs more refinement, but is a really good start. A 6.5 on 10 for now, but it definitely can improve a lot with only some small modifications.
Fun game with a great concept. Needs a bit more polish, mainly in the UI. Looks like its just one guy developing it, but there have been a bunch of updates in the last months. I hope they can continue improving it :)
Promette bene!
