Slow and sleepy at first but If you get concil and unlocked more stuff it kinda fun.
I love this game. If you ever wanted a bit more of a challenge from games like islanders or pile up, this it right here.
Misleadingly simple game. But it gradually adds more and more mechanics as you play. So, whenever you mastered old mechanics - you are magically presented with new. Which keeps involvement and gives more fun! Absolutely love it! It feels like Ballatro or Vampire Survivors - in a sense that you are incentivized to combine different items and create endless synergies and combos.

Very satisfying to play with just enough depth to keep you trying again. The mechanics are interesting and original... but take some getting used to since you don't have a frame of reference when you start out. It reminds me a lot of the original Sim City in the way plots interact and synergize with each other. There is no real endgame - just playing the ladder of escalating difficulty lets you unlock nearly everything, with only two hard unlocks (council members behind harsh requirements) making it worth the repetition when you're consistently beating the game at Regent level. I guess you could try to complete the game with every guild combination but there's no reward for that, just a Steam acheivement. However, the journey up the difficulty ladder is fun and sometimes challenging, and kept me engaged for a week or so.
Islanders + Balatro. Better than Balatro and many of its predecessors in my eyes because there's a lot of fun stuff to do, and so far you can still win trying to build interesting looking islands rather than just hyper focusing on breaking the game in half. Still I do wish they'd leaned a little more into making the best strategies the ones that produced more populated and aesthetically interesting islands. As it is you tend to wind up with your "combo of doom" clump on harder difficulties where you've spaced everything just right so that crazy building chain just goes off.
Great game and well worth the money!!!
Chill game. Lots of interesting combos.
i honestly haven't been a fan with how many roguelites have been coming out as of late because i feel like a lot of them are just reskins of games that have already been made. this one is really different though. even after 10 hours of gameplay, i still have more stuff to unlock and discover, and the difficulty scales very nicely. the game is very challenging after you reach the 3rd or 4th tier of difficulty which makes it fun to come back to. there are overpowered setups you can sometimes manage, but there is a lot going on with the map generation and rng that make it difficult to obtain them even during half of your runs which i feel like makes the game more rewarding when you actually do get the setup you want. everything is also so refreshing to. the guild combos and random map generation make every run feel unique, but it is still recognizable to where it feels natural. i could go on and on. very great game i highly recommend.
Interesting game.
Great roguelike with short but crunchy runs, really feels like there is an incredible depth and breadth of effective and interesting strategies. Every combination of guilds feels unique and it is a ton of fun exploring them all.
