TLDR: Combolands is a polished, creative, chill, and casual game suitable for all audiences where you'll expect 10-20 hours of gameplay. I had fun playing it and would recommend you buy it. Breakdown: I've played roguelike games for years, and I bought this game after watching Olexa playing it on YouTube. It wouldn't be fully fair to compare Combolands with Balatro (although there are some Balatro-like elements) because Combolands does a great job at standing out as a creative game with its city-building mechanics. Each run, you choose two of many factions, where each faction has its own set of unique buildings. All of the factions are really well done, and finding the synergies were really fun. The soundtrack being dynamic is a nice touch. However, the game isn't very replayable, maybe up to 10-20 hours on average. There aren't many buildings in each faction. If you're into endless mode, you'll quickly discover which factions and buildings are better than others. For completionists, the game does provide quite a bit of content as it encourages you to win on the hardest difficulty with every faction combination. Is it worth buying? Yes. The game is polished, simple, and fun, with a reasonable price tag. It's a relaxing and enjoyable experience for long-time roguelike players and players new to the genre.

Wirklich schön für eine Feierabendrunde. So viele Möglichkeiten und Kombinationen und dennoch dauert eine Runde ein halbes Stündchen...
太好玩了,强烈推荐!
this game is a fun take on the roguelike genre and is a quick burst of fun, sadly it is quite easy to max out the guilds and neutral level. sincerely hoping for updates
Merci a Claude de m'avoir traduit ce jeux. Le jeux est typiquement ma cam. Du building et du rogue like. Il est satisfaisant as ♥♥♥♥ ! Désolé de pas avoir attendu de patch FR.

Fantastic puzzle game. It's a shame I'm 38 IQ and will take 200 hours to get all the achievements.
This game is such a fun little roguelite, I love Balatro and I would say that I could easily get 15 to 20 hours of play to just "complete" the game. I think it is currently fun and that its super playable. I would enjoy if the difficulty ramped up even higher because I'm a sadist like that.
I truly enjoy and recommend this game. Its not an infinite playtime game in my opinion, as I feel like eventually the runs will all feel pretty similar. But 8 hours in I feel like I've unlocked maybe half of the content and each bit I unlock feels rewarding and fresh. This game is VERY balanced to make it SEEM like you're going to lose the game, and you're down to the last minute to try to win, and you somehow pull a victory anyways. A couple times Ive majorly overshot the victory though. OLD COMPUTER ALERT: I have found that it can overheat my (albeit pretty old, very easy to overheat) laptop (when charging) to the point of crashing, so i switched to my motherboard graphics card hoping that would help. It helped minorly I think. But I didn't notice any decrease in performance, so its cool you dont need any sort of graphics card to play :)
I can't believe they're selling this cozy-ass roguelike for only $7.00 on launch. Highly recommend just for that, but the vibes are impeccable. COZY ROGUELIKE.
