For $1.99 it's a bargain. Early Access and it needs a lot of work but it's fun, simple and I can spend hours mining, selling, upgrading... The ambient music is a bit murky and dark but the Trader's radio has some decent rock music spilling out of it. So it has potential! Plenty of room for improvement and it's a good concept for a sim.
game is awesome. some bioms mightnot be to your liking, i didnt like the second one at all but i highly reccomend at least the Prototype A and some energy regen when going to the Red F...... lots of fellas to shoot. and dont go back into the mask room unless you want to walk through the entire area again -__-
Whats the story? Your a dude digging a hole for money to buy gear to dig more holes to get more money to buy guns to dig more holes. I bought this on a whim and I've put 15 hours into a single playthrough I highly recommend.
Really fun, lots of cool and broken builds
I got this game on a whim and can honestly say I am really glad to support the dev and see where this project goes. Dev is very active, working one-on-one with players who experience issues, and has already added tons of content. Dev, thank you for such a cool game and good luck! (Also, don't be afraid to take breaks- you have been working like HELL!!!). I can't wait to play more!
Fun game. Has the framework and potential to be great. That being said, it worries me that a single developer and his friends are working on it and updates might not come regularly enough to keep players interested in the game. With the time I played, I bought everything I wanted or needed to buy, reached the deepest part (won't spoil anything) and found myself with nothing else to do. The game is basically a big square pointing straight down that you can dig in. Every few meters you reach a new "biome" with new ores and mobs if you're not playing on peaceful, but again you are limited to a square box you can dig in and apart from some ores and buried chests spawning in different places, there isn't much of a procedurally generated randomness to warrant a second playthrough. Maybe if there were other planets or areas to dig, it would help the progression. I'm keeping it installed for now, but it's already a month with no updates, which again is understandable but with so many games fighting for a gamer's attention, it's gonna be hard to come back every once in a while just for a few new things. Good luck and all the success to the developer and his friends. You guys are doing a great job and can't wait to see what you will be able to achieve in the future with more resources/manpower.
I like the steam review system because it doesn't ask you to rate the game as good, bad or neutral, it asks you "Would you recommend this game to other players?" And for this game I honestly would not recommend it to other players unless they REALLY loved "digging down" games (yes there are a few of these). It's not a bad game at all, it was merely "ok". This price is very reasonable at $3 US, so that's not an issue at all, even $5 would have been fine, $10?... I don't think so. I did run into a few software bugs where explosions camera shaking pushed me outside of the map and that also happened when exiting some of the quest areas below behind the doors that open and close, just adding some feedback. I will say that the first half of the game was much more enjoyable than the last half of the currently available content. The last several biomes just felt like a chore and I didn't have anything to spend credits on past the Permafrost biome. The developer does promptly answer questions in steam discussions which is a nice plus. If you're on the fence about buying the game I'd recommend watching a video on YouTube to get a better idea if you think you'd like it. If you're really dying to dig a massive hole then it's probably worth your $3.
This game is so cool and fun to play. The mimic stone is sick! I think it should mimic the recharge time too. It should also be hard to obtain. The only thing I hate is losing some loot when I die ): I've been digging in that hole for so long. Well, life is about losing things, but I will finish the game (; Keep up the awesome work!
At first I did not think too much about it but it is really catchy!
fun times digging
