Colony Colony by Gamer Genesis Studio is an indie horror game that invites players into a chilling adventure set in a haunted bungalow. The game's premise is simple yet effective—solve puzzles, complete tasks, and escape the clutches of a malevolent spirit. The Atmosphere The game's strength lies in its atmospheric design. The developers have successfully created a sense of dread that keeps you on edge throughout. From dimly lit hallways to eerie sound effects, Colony does an excellent job of immersing players in its world. The haunted bungalow feels alive with its secrets, making exploration a nerve-wracking yet rewarding experience. Gameplay The gameplay revolves around solving puzzles and completing tasks while avoiding the ghost. The puzzles are challenging enough to keep you engaged without being overly frustrating. However, some gameplay mechanics, such as movement and interaction, could benefit from more polish. These minor issues can occasionally break immersion but don’t overshadow the overall experience. Story The narrative, though minimalistic, serves as a solid foundation for the gameplay. The story begins with a teenage boy retrieving a cricket ball from the house, which sets off the chain of events. While the game doesn't delve deeply into the backstory of the ghost or the house, the ambiguity adds to its unsettling charm. Pros: Excellent atmosphere and sound design Engaging puzzles that encourage critical thinking A budget-friendly price, making it accessible Cons: Some gameplay mechanics feel unpolished Limited narrative depth for players seeking a rich story Relatively short playtime Final Verdict Colony is a solid entry into the indie horror genre. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it delivers a tense, atmospheric experience that fans of horror games will appreciate. For its price, it’s a worthwhile addition to your library, especially if you enjoy puzzle-solving and escaping the supernatural. Rating: 7/10
This game is rough. It would be great if the batteries on the flashlight lasted longer than 250 seconds and death was not permanent. I got one and half hours into the game only to die and be told I have to completely restart. This needs alot of work to be a fun functional game.
Für 4 Taler war es ok. Ein kurzes, trashiges Horrorgame mit Rätseln und nem bissigen Kind in nem Labyrinth xD Kann man mal machen^^

Best Game Ever Tamil Indie Game On This Year
im sorry but this is a refund for me... i vary rarely refund things but this was just awful. The way overly dark brightness makes doing anything impossible. The batteries only last 250 seconds each.... why.... Unless you already know what to do you will most likely run out of light before you find the clues you need. Its just puzzle after puzzle after puzzle. I know its only $4 but wow... this needs a lot of tlc.
Dear Game Developer/Team, First, I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for your outstanding efforts in bringing us a high-quality Tamil horror game. The combination of immersive gameplay, engaging visuals, and authentic Tamil voiceovers is truly commendable. As a fan and supporter of your work, I’d like to share some feedback and suggestions that I believe could enhance the gaming experience even further. 1. Enhancing Horror Sounds and Atmosphere * The sound design is a crucial element in creating a truly immersive horror experience. Incorporating more intense and chilling sounds, especially during critical moments and horror scenes, would amplify the fear factor and make the game more thrilling. * These auditory cues could keep players on edge, enhancing the overall suspense. 2. Promotional Opportunities at Comicon * I highly recommend showcasing your game at events like Comicon. Setting up a stall at the Chennai Comicon could significantly boost visibility and engagement with your target audience. * Comicon events in Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai are perfect opportunities to connect with gamers and fans of pop culture. * I attend these events regularly and would be thrilled to meet you at one of your stalls. This could be a fantastic way to promote your game and gather live feedback. 3. Subtitle Support in Tamil Including Tamil subtitles would greatly benefit players, ensuring better accessibility and engagement for a broader audience, especially for those who prefer to follow dialogues textually. 4. Improved Battery Mechanics * Increasing the battery capacity or duration would improve the gameplay flow, particularly during critical moments like ghost chases. * It would also be helpful to incorporate a mechanic where, upon battery depletion, the character automatically adapts to the situation (e.g., by switching to a dimmer light or relying on other resources). * Enhancing the light focus range and brightness would make navigation in dark areas more manageable without compromising the horror atmosphere. 5. Auto-Save Feature * The absence of an auto-save feature makes it challenging to resume progress, especially after unexpected deaths or glitches. Implementing an auto-save system at key checkpoints would prevent players from restarting the game entirely. 6. Bug Fixes * During gameplay, I encountered a bug while searching for a key in the Jesus photo frame. This forced me to restart the game from the beginning to resolve the issue. Addressing such bugs in future updates would ensure smoother gameplay. * Additionally, having an auto-save system would mitigate the frustration caused by recurring bugs. * I am thrilled with my purchase and eagerly look forward to part #2, hoping it incorporates these suggestions. I also shared detailed feedback during my live stream after completing the game. Please feel free to check out the stream for more insights.
