Amazing game. Having a great time playing through a season.
I love this game i havent had this fun in a football game in a long time.
College bowl is a great 16 bit graphic football game. I like it a lot more than I liked legend bowl because it has a better playbook and because it has hot routes (change the receivers route before the ball is snapped). The game seems to have a playbook editor (not a play editor) but I was not able to get it to do anything. I would love to be able to remove the formations I don't want to use. There are some playbook mods. I was not able to get them to work. There are also team mods like NCAA teams. They seem difficult to add to the game though. The controls with an Xbox controller seem to work really well for me. The graphics are nice for a 16 bit style graphic game that is in 1920x1080. The main thing that makes me like this game is the pass routes in the plays in the playbook. There are lots of short crossing patterns. You can edit the teams in the game without a mod. I have started to change some of the teams to NCAA teams. I made some youtube videos of the gameplay. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OuipkLV3mM I bought the game on sale for 19.99.
Unironically better than CFB27. It has fidelity, difficulty, enough franchise details to keep the game deep but fun. If this was released on mobile, it would be a cultural phenomena.
Fantastic!
nice
As a euro, I have little football knowledge, even less so about college football, but I like sports, roster management, and pixel art. College Bowl is surprisingly deep despite its arcade looks: - The team building is incredibly fun, because your roster is always in flux, and you can recruit players fitting your playstyle. - The gameplay itself is really good too, if a bit too fast for me. Scanning all the open lines, while keeping an eye on my quarterback to not get sacked, is challenging. Defense seems to be much easier than offense, but both parts of the game are engaging. I went from full noob to third hardest difficulty in three seasons. - The different playbooks and playcalling (especially ask the coach feature) are excellent. The management aspect other than recruiting is rather lacking, once you've built your preferred facilities there's nothing to do between games. Explanation of stats could be better (PER is apparantly the sum of the player's personality attiributes, but what does popularity even do?) and I would love if the stuff around the game (stats, players of the week, newspaper articles, events ...) would be a bit deeper, but all this is nitpicking. 9/10, full recommendation, incredibly fun game.
The graphics are great for what it is. However, the mechanics of the game aren't great. Honestly, Madden is a lot easier than this game.
Amazing game done by one person loved legend Bowl new this one was going to great as well highly recomend if your old school football gamer
Just go play an older madden its the same expirence for cheaper
