valhe a pena, joguinho e bom!!!
Great puzzle platformer. Kinda reminded me of FEZ -- the puzzles are challenging in a similar way, only needing perhaps a little more mechanical skill on the platformer side of things. I did find a couple of bugs with placing things and changing the dimensions, but none of these really impacted my gameplay, and I'm kinda always looking for this sort of thing in games I play. Also, visually, the game is absolutely incredible. The pixel art and the effects used are all very high quality. Great game overall.
Coffee Break: A sip away from doom is a charming indie puzzle-platformer developed and published by RENEGADOS PRODUZINDO GAMES LTDA that combines humor, exploration, and inventive puzzle design into an entertaining adventure. At its center is a delightfully absurd premise involving an ambitious scientist, an experimental coffee machine, and a disaster so catastrophic that it fractures reality itself. The game embraces its quirky concept from the very beginning, using it as the foundation for a colorful journey through multiple dimensions filled with secrets, challenges, and creative gameplay ideas. The story follows Oliver Onofre, a scientist whose obsession with creating the perfect cup of coffee leads to unintended consequences. After constructing an extraordinary machine capable of producing coffee beyond anyone's expectations, Oliver accidentally triggers a rupture in space and time. The machine is shattered across several dimensions, threatening the stability of reality. Determined to correct his mistake, he embarks on an adventure through strange worlds to recover the scattered pieces and restore order. While the narrative is intentionally lighthearted, it provides enough motivation to keep players invested throughout the journey and gives the game a distinctive personality. One of the strongest aspects of Coffee Break is its imaginative approach to level design. The adventure spans multiple worlds, each featuring unique themes, visual identities, and gameplay challenges. These environments are not merely cosmetic changes but carefully designed spaces that introduce new mechanics and puzzle concepts. As players move from one dimension to another, they encounter fresh ideas that prevent the experience from becoming repetitive. The constant introduction of new challenges ensures that exploration remains exciting and that players are rewarded for their curiosity. The game's most distinctive feature is its perspective-based puzzle system. Instead of treating the camera as a simple viewing tool, the developers integrate it directly into the gameplay. Players must manipulate perspectives, examine environments from different angles, and understand how changes in viewpoint affect the world around them. This mechanic transforms ordinary platforming challenges into engaging mental exercises that require observation and creative thinking. It is a clever concept that adds depth to the adventure and helps distinguish the game from more conventional puzzle-platformers. Puzzle progression is handled particularly well. The game introduces mechanics gradually, allowing players to understand basic concepts before presenting more demanding challenges. Early puzzles act as natural tutorials, while later stages combine multiple ideas in increasingly sophisticated ways. This careful pacing creates a satisfying sense of growth as players become more comfortable with the mechanics and begin solving problems that initially seemed impossible. The game consistently rewards experimentation and encourages players to think beyond obvious solutions. Platforming elements complement the puzzle design rather than overshadow it. Movement is responsive and straightforward, allowing players to focus on environmental interactions without struggling against complicated controls. While the platforming itself is rarely punishing, it provides enough challenge to keep exploration engaging. The balance between movement and puzzle-solving feels well judged, ensuring that neither aspect dominates the experience. Exploration plays a significant role throughout the adventure. Hidden collectibles, optional challenges, and secret areas encourage players to investigate every corner of the game's worlds. Coffee cups and other collectibles provide additional objectives for completionists while remaining optional for those who prefer to focus on the main story. This approach adds replay value without forcing players into extensive backtracking or unnecessary grinding. Visually, Coffee Break succeeds through its vibrant pixel-art presentation. The graphics are colorful, expressive, and full of charm. Each world possesses its own atmosphere, supported by distinct environmental details and creative visual themes. The art style captures the playful nature of the story while maintaining enough clarity for puzzle-solving and exploration. Character animations and environmental effects contribute to a lively world that feels welcoming and full of personality. The game's soundtrack deserves recognition as well. The music effectively complements the whimsical tone of the adventure and helps establish the mood of each environment. Whether exploring a new dimension or solving a complex puzzle, the soundtrack enhances the overall experience without becoming distracting. The compositions add warmth and energy to the journey, helping make the various worlds more memorable. Another appealing aspect is the cast of characters encountered throughout the adventure. While the story remains relatively light in tone, the interactions between characters provide moments of humor and charm that help strengthen the game's identity. The writing never takes itself too seriously, embracing the absurdity of its premise while maintaining a sense of sincerity that makes the adventure enjoyable from beginning to end. The game's primary limitation is that players seeking highly demanding platforming or action-heavy gameplay may find its pace somewhat relaxed. The focus remains on exploration and puzzle-solving rather than reflex-based challenges. Some of the later perspective puzzles can also require patience, particularly for players unfamiliar with spatial reasoning mechanics. However, these challenges generally feel fair and contribute to the satisfaction of discovering solutions. Coffee Break: A sip away from doom succeeds because it combines creativity, accessibility, and charm into a cohesive package. Its unusual story, inventive perspective mechanics, colorful presentation, and thoughtful puzzle design create an experience that feels both approachable and rewarding. The game demonstrates how a simple idea can become something memorable when supported by strong execution and a clear creative vision. For fans of puzzle-platformers, exploration-focused adventures, and imaginative indie games, Coffee Break: A sip away from doom offers a delightful journey filled with clever ideas and plenty of personality. It may not be the largest game in the genre, but its originality and charm make it a worthwhile experience that leaves a lasting impression long after the final puzzle has been solved. Rating: 7/10
