I usually like difficulty games, but this one is pretty stupid, bosses that interrupt your combos out of nowhere, full of invencibility frames and can hit you even when you are behind them. You can safelly skip it.
Yes.

If you like Maiden Cops, or Dragon's Crown, this game will be your cup of tea for sure. Try to play it with 4 other people for the best experience possible. The controls are a bit stiff, but there are over 50 playable characters, all which play substantially different from each other, you're certain to find a character you really like to play! I'd say it's easily worth 20$, it's even better if you can get it on sale.
我擦,难度太大了吧,两个人一起上才能通关,一个人用格挡,一个人放技能,这最后几关太变态了
guardian heroes feito com pressa e mal amado
Hypnotic hips and good character design, but lazy port, with ugly 3D backgrounds and dirty reescaled pre-rendered characters. If you like beat 'em ups for being fast and precise, avoid this, sluggish animations and overcomplicated controls from the beginning, with actions like "push down two times and then the attack button" that kills any flow. Maybe for fans of Dark Souls that enjoy waiting 3 seconds for the hit to land, but for me this lack of speed in this kind of game is totally off-putting. If there's an anime I'll love to watch it, but the game was disappointing.
Less Pixelated and Better Level Ups
In my opinion, the EX version is better than the first version of this game.
The Big Gripe
But you still have to actually land a Y attack on the boss with your thumbstick pointing at the boss before you get a "lock on" status. That status might randomly disappear on you, too. And trash mobs will be cheesing you from all over the place. Your enemies can easily get 50-hit combos where you just get tossed around without any ability to do anything about it. But if you can manage to get a "lock on" status and hit the boss during your "burst," you have a chance of beating the powerful bosses in the game.
The Small Gripe
Expect to find a mission you can quickly complete and then repeating that mission 30-50 times before you try to find the next mission like it further into the story.
Suggestion
If you are a fan boy wanting to spend time with Princess Solange, your best bet would be buying Blade Strangers. Look it up.
If you're planning on buying this game because you liked Guardian Heroes, know that you're not going to have the same experience. While everything looks nice enough, the game has some issues. Stages are fairly short and the story is linear. You don't allocate skill points in this version of the game, it levels up your character automatically based on their class. Though, to be fair, your reserve characters share a portion of the XP you gained from clearing stages which is really nice. They'll need it because some enemies really tank damage and are an absolute chore to fight. Some constantly block or preemptively strike at you. Other enemies like to hover around the edge of the screen and spam projectiles at you, in some cases stun-locking you. And if you don't grind XP by replaying stages again and again before continuing too far into the story, you WILL eventually reach boss characters who will absolutely shut your adventure down until you do. But gameplay issues aside, the presentation gets even sloppier. The game's music, of all things, doesn't loop. The music just cuts out after it plays once, leaving you with grunts and attack sounds for the next three minutes or so. Another thing that annoys me more than it should, is that character's spoken language is Japanese while the text is English. I know for a fact it has been "westernized" in places and only makes me wonder how characters were originally meant to act. And there's plenty of characters in this game, unlike the 5 from Guardian Heroes. I confess I do really like the design of several of the cast, but sometimes less is more. But the biggest issue is that the game just doesn't feel fun to play. You're going to spam the same attacks the entire time. You're going to unlock so many useless trinkets and weapons and only switch items a few times. And you're going to do it all by yourself because the game doesn't utilize remote play. Hell, the multiplayer function doesn't even seem to work at all... or maybe it does and it's just that no one wants to touch this game. I bet it's the latter.
