I lost all my money. So I took out another loan of money to buy some money to lose it again. I lost that money too.

единственная игра котороая никогда не надоедает
After getting both endings multiple times, a couple of holographic memory cards, and earning more coins than atoms in the observable universe, I think I've seen about all this game has to offer. Cloverpit is a very fun, smaller game. The comparisons to Balatro are impossible to avoid. So, I will say upfront that Cloverpit doesn't have the depth or staying power of Balatro. But, I actually appreciate that. Balatro can get really complicated with just how much is going on. So many different builds, so many interlocking mechanics to manage, so many ways for things to go wrong (and right). Sometimes playing Balatro feels more like managing a spreadsheet than playing video poker. Cloverpit is both a more simple and relaxed experience, but also a more punishing one. Less complexity means it's harder to correct for bad RNG or mistakes. As a result, a bad initial deadline or two can break a run irreparably. But, when things do click, and you have a good roll going, it's pure dopamine. The whole game is about exponential growth. And, finding the strategy to do that the best is really engaging. It takes a lot of swapping charms in and out and playing with probabilities which tickles that 'number go up' happy center in my mind. That said, I wish Cloverpit had a few more QoL features. For the harder modes, you pretty much need a couple of specific luck charms right away for the run to be worth putting time into. Otherwise, the chances of the run succeeding are low. That results in a lot of restarting. This is the problem Balatro had too until the developers buffed the joker badges. If the Cloverpit devs made it so that you were guaranteed to get something like the peppers (or other basic luck charms) on the first shop roll, it would make things less annoying. All said, for the price, it's very worth it.
