The whole game revolves around gambling, which means that RNG is the main thing. The game is nice, I love the atmosphere, and you get the constant dopamine rush typically associated with gambling and slot machines, which means that it's a nice game to boot up when you want to turn your brain off; on the other hand, RNG is the main thing, as I said, which means that more often than not you will find yourself into doomed runs. Also for this reason the game gets pretty boring, but as I said it's nice to boot it up for a match from time to time.

idk man i wish i liked it but its just not that fun. i dont like to go too early on reviews for roguelikes but even this early on it doesnt feel like itll get to where i can actually manipulate luck in any meaningful way. im sure there are crazy broken runs but the slow pace overall really doesnt do it for me. visual style is cool on the paper but the way everything jitters around really hurts my eyes after a while sound design is really strange to me because theres absolutely some stellar audio bits in here (mainly everything to do with the slot machine itself) but the way that items are compressed makes it feel like it wants to be inscryption really bad with this "roguelike normal game turned into a dark saw-esque race to the bottom" but it clashes really hard. just listen to the activation sound of the d4 for more than a minute and youll want to throw your headphones at a wall. might change the review later, usually with roguelikes theres a bump you have to hit before the game gets really good but for the time being i cant bring myself to recommend this one

great example of a gambling game. you can get 3 jackpots in a row and then lose the next game which goes to show that you cant guarantee winning
