A cozy little adventure that lets you wander a charming world and meet its adorable characters.
Really cute game clearly made with a lot of heart 💖
Cloudy Valley is a charming and cute game, but it does come with a few bugs that can be frustrating. During my playthrough, I’ve encountered several issues, such as getting soft-locked in dialogue, clipping through the ground while parkouring, and seeing blank speech bubbles during conversations, suggesting that I missed something. While these bugs don't make the game unplayable, they do detract from the experience. I’d say it’s definitely a game worth picking up on sale, but I wouldn’t consider it a must-have until these issues are addressed.
At times this game can be a frustrating glitchy mess, multiple times i've been softlocked due to poor level design, or a character running away from me while talking. Other characters seem to levitate off the ground, The game constantly starts in french dedpite selecting english and never remembers user settings such as music volume and the climbing mecanic seems to be intermittent. That being said, its a fun collect-a-thon, that reminds me a lot of 'a short hike' but don't expect polished gameplay. All this aside, it's still a charming experience for those who enjoy casual exploration and light platforming. Just be prepared to deal with some technical hiccups along the way.
I love cozy exploration games like these! It has a few bugs here and there but nothing that can prevent me from thoroughly enjoying the game. A great tribute to A Short Hike, with similar cute graphics, witty dialogues and soothing music. Just play it <3
This game very much reminds me of A Short Hike and Haven Park, along with other cozy adventure games that come to mind. It's very laidback and relaxing, with lots of hidden things to see and people to talk to. I love the little side quests.. they're all relaxing and won't cause you any frustration. The dialogue and characters are charming, as is the soundtrack and art style. The dev's been overall very good at addressing issues, aside from a pesky one concerning tokens sometimes not granting.. but I have faith that'll end up getting patched. I'd really enjoyed my time with this game, and I can't wait to 100% everything!
Tout mims
Another game in what most accurately be descibed as a Wholesome adventure. Games like Lil Gator game, Haven Park, Pine Hearts, Little kitty big city and probably most of all A short hike. A game this is VERY similar to, so close that's it's basically the exact same plot and main mechanics to get to the object, Claire from A short Hike even have a guest appearence so it's not like they are trying to hide their main inspiration, even if a less favourable review could call it a bit derivative. Basically like the previous mentioned ones, this is a very cute non-violent game that take place in a small open world with lots of minor side-quests for the various people you run into to do and collectables to find, all while you can take your time on your main objective and explore as much or little as you wish. If you like that kind of game, then there is more of the same here. It is a bit jank in the climbing and at least once or twice the game froze in a dialogue, but the game autosaves so there was no progress loss. I think most of the games i mentioned earlier are better but if you played A short Hike and want something similar, pick this one up.
Such a cute game BUT mine suddenly stopped and I had to force close, when I went to start again my climbing ability has been reset despite me having climbing shoes and one climbing stick, so now can't progress any further! Was enjoying it up to then, reminiscent of A short hike!
Really enjoying this cute casual exploring game. Yes it is new so things are being improved. But it's lovely. Thank you Su!
