Super fun and super addicting, the levels are so creative. Worth every penny, can't wait for the new levels!!
As someone with 400+ hours in Slay the Spire this is perfect for scratching that rouge-like itch. Such an original idea executed very well with very satisfying gameplay. Like another reviewer said, no better feeling than hitting that perfect bomb and watching everything tumble down.
Physics are weird, which is bad for this type of game. Way too many of my cogs ended up standing straight up including the large cog that really needed not to do that all the time. I tried using the moving platform to knock them down but they stayed standing. Bombs barely seemed to realize they were on a moving platform and just kept rolling. Also it can be inconsistent, with some throws randomly causing the cog to fly more towards the front of the machine without touching anything if you just click higher on the screen Most of the cog types feel the exact same to launch since they basically are except for some having effects once cashed in leaving them feeling, limp. Didn't even realize at first that the big cogs pierced targets to hit more then one at a time The two special tokens needed explained better. Why do they take 3 seconds to activate if they just spawn a single crit tile or reboot the board? And why isn't the player told their effects? What is a crit token anyways? How does its damage compare to say, a shuriken? Combat has no impact, leading me to barely feel when a cog is launched because there's no sound or visual of you hitting the enemy besides tiny numbers appearing where you do like 10 hits of 1 damage to the 200 health enemy. A system where maybe the small gears gather as they fall and after a short time then it falls as a big gear that just shrinks if it hits something without using up all its charge? Idk. The chest tiles feel, bad. They're just heals yet the icon makes you think they're a good treasure. But since this game only has cogs to drop and no other equipment items to gain, there's nothing really to gain out of those chests except maybe coins. Granted I don't open many chests so maybe there is a good thing in there. But seeing as how the chests can steal cogs from you, they aren't worth testing when it seems heals are most of what you get. All in all, the game feels like it needs a lot of polish and a bit more content before it would be something I would recommend. However, this is early access. A lot of my complains very likely will be fixed before any full release of the game is out so, very likely might change my mind. Just finished my first run through in the 1.7 hours I played and there's, just no incentive to play again. Not with how limited the runs are in terms of build
Clockwork Owl is like the thot daughter you never wanted but the fanum tax makes up for it. Imagine if Skibidi Toilet and Ohio Rizz had a fun, strategic baby, with a splash of baby Gronk. The visuals are bussin, and every coin drop feels like a caseoh fell out of his chair. Despite a bit of a learning curve and some repetitive gameplay, it’s a blast that’s well worth diving into if you’re up for W ratio mayor of ohio duke dennis dangling. NO CAP.
So i tryed to play for almost 5 hours but never saw something new in game after 1st level. the amount of content in game stands somewhere around 0.10 cent. its just empty and not worth it. please do not support this developer. its more like quick jam game.
