I've been following the development of CLAWPUNK for a while now. Loved the demo, & the full game has been fantastic. 9 cats each with 9 lives and 130 cards to equip that buffs the cats performance results in endless replayability. The artwork is fantastic with hand drawn cutscenes, great voice acting, with each cat having their own special ability. Boss fights are frantic and fun, with a big emphasis on causing as much chaos as possible. CLAWPUNK continues to deliver long after the first playthrough with added hardcore modes & Ironcat mode which will challenge the most devoted players. 9/10
Honestly the demo does not do this game justice, once you start getting into the meta progression and the extra characters, the first character I unlocked is a dude on a pogo stick who throws dynamite and blows himself up as his "stun attack", super fun and varied gameplay between each characters play style and each character acting as an extra life rather than a run start choice that you're stuck with
CLAWPUNK is a Chaotic and Fun 2D Precision Platformer about a squad of 9 stray cats who's mission is to take the city back from the evil corporation. You play through 5 different zones, each zone has a total 9 stages ending with a brutal boss fight. The game plays very well and has solid controls and responsive combat system. It's Chaos everywhere the moment you step into a stage, where you have to find the exit at the lowest point of each stage, lots of traps, explosives, pitfalls and on top of all that, you will have enemy hordes trying to hunt you down. Be ready to bring it on!! You start the game with a single cat and you unlock/save the other remaining cats as you playthrough which will be at your disposal during stages clearing. Amazing metal/punk OST that will keep your adernaline pumped during the whole stage / zone clearance. The boss fights are brutal and will keep you on your toes, be ready to dodge, jump and fight your way through them. They are gonna definitely bring a challenge. This is a very recommended 2D Precision platformer with lots of action involved!! if you love chaos and platforming combined, then this is definitely a must play. Overall Rating 10/10
I'ts a fun, colourful game. I like the art style, and the variety of both playable characters and enemies. The intro is perhaps a little over long, but it's Christopher Tester doing the VO, so it's nice to listen to and in any case can be skipped (I've heard Greg Sestero of The Room/Disaster Artist fame is also in the game as one of the cats, though I haven't unlocked him, yet). The levels are short, but as there are no extra lives to start with, there's a bit of smashing your face against a brick wall in the beginning. The tutorial is optional, but I highly recommend you go through it as certain things like chaos coins aren't otherwise explained. It also gives you a chance to try all the mechanics before having to use them in anger. I wasn't aware of the dodge or "super-saiyan" modes until I accidentally pressed the keys during a level. Even with the game having a bit of a steep difficult curve for filthy casuals like myself, it doesn't take long to get back to where you were, and items/cats are carried over so it's not punishing. I think another few hours and I'll be semi-competent. I would suggest starting in the woodland level as it's a bit more open and you have more time to react. Also, there's no level timer so feel free to take it a step at a time - the only thing you'll be hurting is your chaos build-up. I have managed to unlock a couple of other cats and these then give you extra chances to complete the levels, as well as give you different attack abilities to play with. It doesn't take long to start becoming more intricate than just bouncing about the screen. My only negative is I feel like this would be nicer on a controller - with keyboard and mouse, and no button remapping, my left hand is having to do quite a bit of dancing over the keys.
LOVED THE ART IN THIS!
Visually fun, extra challenging, and a great way to spend an evening passing the controller around with friends. Clawpunk is a fun arcade game with a unique approach to combat and level design. Each character feels unique and completely changes the way I approach the levels.... Boing Boing Boing Boing.
Didn't expect the game to go this hard. Cool sound track and cut scenes.
One of the best games I've played all year. The soundtrack and character design is incredible and the environments are memorable. The boss fights are particularly fun, too. Sadly, the game suffers from the graphics being so tiny and zoomed out that combos are unsustainable and noticing some smaller enemies becomes a high stakes game of "Where's Waldo." Solid 7/10 though, and Banshee is metal af.

Absolute carnage with a great aesthetic and an absolutely BANGING soundtrack! If you like fast-paced, chaotic combat, speed metal and cats, it's an absolute must have.
