Fantastic visual style and a simple story that is both delightful and heartwarming but that’s about it. The combat system is dull and unresponsive. Many people dismiss the flaws by saying it’s just a matter of skill, I love that argument because it can be applied to any game no matter how bad a game is, someone can still beat it, so it’s a silly argument. I cannot recommend it.
This game is one of the best souls-likes I have played in my life and I got this game for $3...! It is so unique and funky and i just loved everything about it. Funny characters, great story and a weird bird that we adore. I dont know how this game is so under the radar. BUY IT NOW!!!
Idk how this game is not more popular. Litteraly EVERYTHING is 10/10 except the end, i think it was a bit rushed but it was still good. Its just so unique, graphics are unique, fights are INSANELY unique, characters are looking goofy and creative. AND on sale its like 3 euros. 100000/10
out of 650+ steam games I own, this is one of my all time favorites. The world and character designs are weird af in the best way possible with great perfectly matched soundtrack, the combat system feels responsive fluid and fun, leveling and explorations also feel exceptionally rewarding and fun, but the highlight is the dynamic between pseudo and the boy. You literally watch Pseudo go from treating the kid like a massive burden to actually treating him like a friend or a son he never had and it feels completely seemless the whole way through. Its genuinely a crime how unknown this game is
I highly recommend this 10/10 game, for starters the combat is semi-souls like. Being punishing but you as well can very much punish back the enemy. The game ran great on decently good GPU with high to very high setting, and to top it off the story is amazing and even had me shed a tear or two.
I rarely take time to review games but... hidden gem. Completely recommended
